A bit of news

Hi guys! It was a long time of silence, but soon everything will be fine and alive. Many of You noticed that a hosting with all the stuff for KPEX is offline - I'm moving from one part of city to another and currently I don't have free time and internet connection. Things will get better on Saturday when my connection will be restored and hosting will work in full power. After that I will finish some things and will spend some time finishing KPetris and some other projects. Hope this message is a good one for You.

A bit of news (:

, ,

Hello guys! I have a lot of work recently - I'm changing my job so I need to finish some projects, write documentation and so on. Next week will be a little holidays for me and I will try to finish KPETRIS and other projects. Stay tuned and have a nice day!

KPEX is officially discontinued

,

Yes, Kingston restored their page about KPEX, but today I received e-mail which states:
Unfortunately, Kingston has stopped production of the K-PEX so there
will be no future developments for this product line.

Signed by Tomas Sasko, EU Technical. Good bye, KPEX! We still love You!

KPETRIS new look

, ,

Epal from forum has spent some time to make a nice looking design for KPETRIS and now You can see the result. This version has no gameplay, only skin inside, because I did not finish optimizing game engine yet, but it will follow later this week and that will be full version (: Still no music because I can't understand how to play MP3s yet (PlaySound() from SDK generates silence in emulator and player even with MIDIs).

GNEXDA report

, , , ...

Today I've added decompilation of media information (strings, images, sounds etc), user function decompilation and now output is SAL file compatible (into STDOUT). I hope this week my disassembler will produce first compilable SAL file (:

GNEXDA proof of concept and SGS file header

, , ,

Hello! I did not have time to do anything yesterday evening. But here it comes today!

First of all let me introduce my description of SGS file header. This is type definition in Delphi with comments regarding how it can be translated into C/C++.

Next is first publicly available GNEXDA disassemler binary that somehow works. It shows SGS header and tries to disassmble void main(). It understands only few of GNEX opcodes: nop, call, calls, pushc, pushmi, and end. System function names are not shown, only their numeric codes.

Enjoy!

Forgot about links to SDK and SGS converter...

, , , ...

So it's time to put them where they belong (:

Latest GNEX SDK and SGSCONV. And function reference in Korean (try Babelfish).

GNEXDA - GNEX binary disassembler

, , ,

As a part of working on disassembler I managed to understand 95% of header of SGS file. I will publish that info today a bit later. Also I hope to make GNEXDA to decompile something today. I hope this will be useful for many of you, not just for me.
