Nicholas Rothwell, in www.theaustralian.com.au on ......on the power of individual willpower in democracies
19/20.11.2005 ..Peter Ruehl , writing in the www.afr.com.au on the chances of a flat tax in Oz , while Howard and Costello have control of the kitty ? Not much...and it needs to be added: with the squirrel-mentality of holding onto massive budgetary surpluses , and a complacent, apathetic electorate ...why change the system, if it's the best performing ever, so they keep reassuring ang stroking ...... of course that doesn't address the question of why change the I R system, if the economy really is so strong and in such competent hands....they just get bored? Or is it just because they can , and it's their turn now....hmmm, let's see what this does? The way some people approach computers and the internet , methinks.
