"The book of joy is an ambitious attempt by Caribbean /Canadian poet and author,
Bernadette Charles, to recreate the divine journey of life.
The aim of the book is to bring awareness and consciousness recognition to the " Feminine Aspects of Divinity." Joy is the brain child of the author,a fictional representation of the legitimate girl child and daughter of God,
in the same way that Jesus Christ is acknowledged and presented as the son of God.
The knowledge in The Book of Joy is priceless and this knowledge should be available to all who truly seek it. By opening this book you are opening yourself up to the realisation of who you really are, and your own personal voyage of discovery.

Book One "GENESIS"
The Gift of birth" (200 pages)
Book Two.. "EARTH"
"THE MIRACLE OF LIFE"
Book Three "HEAVEN ON EARTH"

Our historic references have suggested that the active ‘Male Principle’ of God in Heaven is solely responsible for the act of creation.
But at this point in history the “Female Principle” is recreating her story.
Although we are well past the point, where gender and color can be adequate, or representative in the description of God.
I do however, choose to portray in this picturesque metaphor, God, in color and gender. While at the same time keeping in mind that ultimately the Principle, “GOD”, implies both male and female, and is inclusive of all color, creed, and race.
In this context, my aim is to ‘re-present’ the feminine aspects of divinity in a manner that will elevate the visibility of women in today’s world.
My intention is to create a feminine representation that is realistic and natural to today’s reality.
One that is easily identifiable to each and every one of us.
In doing so, I hope to foster a greater
appreciation of the feminine by realigning her in all her array of colors, from white to black ebony skin.
This realignment, I hope, will help to restore the omnipotent to a place of higher consciousness in our minds. I also hope it will help to elevate the stature and self-esteem of young women everywhere.
The book of joy therefore is an attempt to re-unite the masculine and feminine aspects of Divinity. A gentle re-minder that the feminine is, was, and will always be a legitimate member of the DIVINE, not as a subjugated sublimate of the masculine, but as a divine member. A divinity in and of her own rights.
This book is intended, for all, to open the door through which you may enter into the joy of the divine feminine receptive heart.
I wish you enjoyment as you live in the joyful expression of your own self created divine Feminine.
