KONNICHIWA MyOpera!

It's your loyal member and former MOTW...Kyousuke.

Since April 2008,I have been addicted to this community and i can honestly say,this site has really changed my life in ways you can not begin to imagine.
BUT I won't get into that topic now.Save it for another post.

What i really want to talk about in this post is my dislike and confusion of why MyOpera decided to rid itself of status feature.

I mean,i chose this site over Facebook and Twitter for three reasons...

1.MyOpera has to have one of the biggest,most diverse community that allows for one from other culture to discover a new one through meeting different members.

2.a Legit place to blog in multi languages and be read by all kinds of people.Not just a simple tweet that you have to"retweet" and that be consider a comment/response or a limited space to tell your story of the day and have it liked or someone tags you in it.MyOpera is a legit place to lay out your feelings,thoughts,stories for the world to read.it's great to have different people from the world interact like one giant family.

3.The most important of all....the almighty STATUS!!

I used to love creating wacky status to accompany my wacky personality.In a sense,the status was most important to one's profile than you can imagine.I remember my last status was "i'm going to kill the thrill of just one more kill"

i loved that!
Status was a way for us to tell how we feel or tell we are still alive and kicking without having to do a small blog or send message to all friends.that's troublesome.Status was also a way for us to promote things thats interesting to us like..the release of a new song from favorite artist,recommending friends to see new movie release without spoiling it,and most like me used it as a way to notify all my friends that i have new blog post up to be viewed.To no one's surprise,that tactic worked!Due to my status letting my friends know i have new material they can read,my blog had many visitors and comments surpassing the 200th comment mark every time.Thanks to that,i also was awarded MOTW for many liking and reading my blog,but it wasn't possible if not for status feature.

So you see,MyOpera
The status feature is unique part of this site,without it,we are just,squares and profile pictures.No fun yo!
The status gave us a flare and a sense of voice and character
When you read an interesting status by a member,it makes you curious as if you wish to know more of that person.
Now a days,no one's shoutbox is being overflowed with messages,curious as to what you say on your status.
No one pretty much reads blogs anymore,because there is no clear way to know whose blogging and whose not.
So when the new Opera release came out,i was stoked about the new quick post feature on the latest news page,the design,etc,but i was left wondering why the status feature was missing?

I feel like,removing that little feature really made me kinda turn away from this site.
Something just didn't feel right here anymore.
So,i am on a mission to try and get that status guy back home.

So,HEY MYOPERA!!
I am asking you to bring the status feature back.
For the sake of my love of the little things about this site.....
BRING THE STATUS BACK!!!!

So,to you my friends,if you(like me...)wish for the status feature to be brought back...
voice your opinions on your blog and lets all hope our words hit MyOpera's ears with great force!
