After 4 weeks of parental leave and 1 week of holidays I wanted to give a short summary of what we did this summer -- mostly offline:

• It all started with the Assen TT race (first time for the XJ)
  
• We went to a lake nearby several times
  
• We visited my mum in Berlin, saw the great fun western musical Der Schuh des Manitu and went climbing in some high trees
  
• We went to the nice Hannover Zoo
  
• We went camping at the Elbe (near Bleckede) twice (the Baltic Sea was too crowded)
  
• My sister from Berlin visited us
  
• We worked in the garden and started preparing Charlottes room
  
• And of course we had as much fun together with the kids as possible (basically what the parental leave is intended for -- oh and did I mention that I'll have 4 more weeks in 2010? )
