New Camera

Due to a recent translation job we'll have some very welcome extra money. So we decided it's time for our first "real" digital camera. I'm still more than happy with my SonyEricsson K800i and it'll continue to be our mobile diary but there are situations where you want a real optical zoom and higher picture resolution.
We ordered a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 and received it last Thursday. The 12x optical zoom is impressive and together with the Leica lens we've shot some nice photos already. We still have to learn alot to make full use of the capabilitites the camera has, though.
Everybody's testing the device now, I like several of the pictures Sofie made in the forest. I guess Uncle Adam's training helped. There's a gallery with some more test shots from the last, sunny weekend.
