MICHAEL LOHAN: 'LINDSAY IS ON DEATH'S DOORSTEP'
LINDSAY LOHAN's alleged drug habit has left her on "death's doorstep", according to her estranged father. Michael Lohan has been publicly pleading with the actress to seek professional help for her reported addiction to prescription drugs, insisting the star's troubles have left her a shadow of her former self. In an open letter published in America's In Touch magazine earlier this month (Oct09), the born-again Christian wrote, "I have held your vacant body in my arms, felt the tears fall down your face, and I tried every way to make you see what is happening to you. "I have helped so many others 'successfully,' Linds, please, Honey, let me help you. Let me help you get your life back so that you can build it to where you once were." The Mean Girls star and her mother Dina have repeatedly dismissed Michael's claims and Lindsay has pledged to file a restraining order against her dad. But Michael is refusing to let the issue rest and claims to have recordings of phone conversations he's had with his ex-wife, lamenting their eldest daughter's supposed drug battle and her deteriorating health. He tells the New York Daily News, "Dina is saying that I'm lying - that Lindsay doesn't have a problem and that she's OK. "But I have proof that Dina has told me Lindsay is on death's doorstep, that she doesn't have much time left. There have been frantic calls. And I'm going to prove that Dina is the liar, not me." Michael plans to leak the tapes to U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight on Monday (02Nov09) - but insists he's not out to savage Dina's parenting skills. He adds, "As the mother of my kids, I won't slam Dina personally. But she has expressed to me that Lindsay is in dire, dire need of an intervention. And Lindsay needs to see that her mother is either lying to me or lying to her."

Father God... I give praise to You, my Father...You have given me the most precious Gift anyone could. As I sit in awe of You and in reverence of Your Majesty, I feel so drawn to being with You. This world has very little to offer me anymore. My life and strength is in You. I am doing what you told me to do; I hope that this pleases You because that is the focus of my life...to do Your will, not mine. I am here, in this madness of those who are overcome by addiction. My heart is with each and every person that is hurting. It wasn't that long ago that You reached out to me with such compassion and forgiveness...in my pain and despair, and freed me. I had lost my mind, but, you never allowed me to lose my soul. I praise You for believing in me when neither I nor anyone else could or would. I thank you for Your mercy and love to have lifted me out of that dark cold world I called my life. I am honored that You, oh God, have trusted me to help others who are as I once was. It was a hurtful, lonely, and empty place to be. I know now that "all things work together for good to those who love You". Help those who need You to find You. Help them to look "up" and not toward the darkness. It is an empty place they have put themselves in where drugs provide that release they need. I will always remember what You did for me because I am surrounded by those who hurt as I once did. Help me to help them, Lord God...please. I so understand how Paul felt when he wanted to be with You and leave here. He knew, however, as I do, that our purpose has to be fulfilled before going "home". So, this "homesick" feeling that I feel reminds me of what You have in store for those who truly love You. I will do whatever it takes to please You and to bring the lost sheep back into the flock. In Jesus Name, I pray.
Dear God: The lady reading this is beautiful, classy and strong and I love her. Help her live her life to the fullest. Please promote her and cause her to excel above her expectations. Help her shine in the darkest places where it is impossible to love. Protect her at all times, lift her up when she needs you the most and let her know when she walks with you; She will always be safe. Love you !!!!
