Mobile Management of Your Business with iPads Or Tablets

Today there are over 30 million iPads in use and the new iPad 3 is now being released across the US. While the new iPad 3 has several distinct advantages over the iPad 1 or 2, this article is not about that. Instead, we will address what you can do with any iPad or Tablet already on the market and why you should consider getting your hands on one.
First off, do you send or receive many emails? Are your emails simple “text only” information or do they include attachments such as Word, Excel, Power Point or other files? If your answer is yes to one or both of these questions and you receive more than one email or two per day, then you will love what I have to tell you.
The Laptop Computer certainly created a certain freedom from having to sit at a desk. However, laptops typically require a fair amount of time to boot-up and then get into specific programs like email. Alternatively, most cell phones today can receive email, but not all of them can open an attachment and even if you can, you might have trouble reading it. The good news is that both iPad and Tablets work much more quickly than a laptop and with say a 7 or 9 inch screen, my guess is that you can probably read what appears on the screen. As a result, you can not only get your emails and open the attachments faster on an iPad or Tablet than a Laptop, but you will be able to read them better and even respond far easier than with either a cell phone or Laptop. Frankly, this alone could be worth the price of an iPad or Tablet for some of you. Remember too, that most cell phones charge you for data, so using the iPad or Tablet is simply an extension of that service within your budget.
Other benefits to using an iPad or Tablet is that you can use it to keep track of appointments, sales, personnel, Company Bank Account and Payroll, or just about everything you have ever done on a computer. If you need to do some quick banking, pay a vendor or do payroll remotely, you can certainly use iPad or Tablet easier and faster than with most Laptops and/or cellphones.
If you currently do any online marketing and/or email campaigns, you can use the iPad or Tablet to do this just like you do now with a laptop or fixed location PC/Mac.
If you want to surf the Internet, watch a movie, sports or watch an instructional video, I’m sure that you will be happy with using either iPad or Tablet. In fact, with the new iPad3, some people will argue that the resolution is the best of any device on the market so far.
I think you’ll find that anything you can do on a computer, you can do on an iPad or Tablet. However, like all things in life, iPads and Tablets have their advantages and disadvantages when compared to a Laptop or fixed location PC/Mac. On the other hand, I think you’ll agree that if you want fast and easy access, while you are on the go, the advantages to using an iPad or Tablet over a Laptop far outweigh the negatives.
