Reports of my untimely demise have been greatly exaggerated!

Thanks to all who have asked!
You may recall, that back in January, I had surgery to repair an abdominal hernia. This was my 4th surgery in two years related to when I ruptured my colon in Feb 2004. This last surgery was more complicated than originally thought at my colon had attached itself to my abdominal wall. So, instead of being an outpatient thingy, I ended up spending 3 days in the hospital.
Jumping ahead a bit . . . I'm about 90% recovered, back to the daily grind, back at the gym, doing situps, etc, but still being careful. Saw my surgeon on March 8 and was discharged from care, so I guess I'm ok!
About 2 weeks after the surgery, I started feeling symptoms of depression. This happened once before, right after my first surgery in 2004, and I ended up on antidepressants for 9 months. My belief is that the depression was caused by the anesthesia and the pain medication. I talked to my primare care doc about it about a month ago and he offered antidepressants again, but I decided to ride it out this time. If I wasn't better in a month, I'd go on the pills.
Well, this week I turned the corner. The fog lifted and I'm feeling much brighter with a much better outlook on things. People say they can hear it in my voice, and that's nice confirmation. So, that's why no one's heard from me. I just didn't have the energy, drive or focus to do much of anything for a few weeks.
So, WATCH OUT! I'M BACK!!!
