Archives Corp. just got even more powerful: It is announcing the following week the addition of hundreds of millions of family tree reports from Family Search World. Archives Corp. is the first website to make this data-set available outside the Mormon Church. Its one of many largest family tree series ever published online, increasing the number of trees on the online site fifty-fold immediately. And that isnt user-generated data; it has been painstakingly vetted by skilled genealogists.
This week the 1930 census is also going live at Records Corp., including three million images. Ancestry Corp. also offers this data-set, but it charges $300 a year, versus $40 a season for Archives Corp.. Six million more images from the census years dating back to 1790 will become available on Archives Corp. in the next two months. The company describes it being a -goldmine of genealogical info with names, ages, birth locations and family relationships- enabling visitors to trace back several generations of their total family trees.
This may be the second in a recent one-two punch at Genealogy Corp.. In addition for an limited-time exclusive on this data, the National Archives & Notes Administration picked Inflection to cultivate the official US Government website displaying everything from the 1940 census, scheduled to become released in April 2012.
