Subconscious mind is similar to a room equipped with a door that is "guarded" by a "keeper". If the door is wide open, it is something that comes from outside can enters easily, whereas if the door is closed, then there is nothing that can gets in , if the door is partly open, it is just something with a certain size to enter.
Subconscious Mind has a door that serves as a filter of the data or suggestions that come from outside, here go through the five senses. This filter is "guarded" by the Conscious Mind, and filter performance is also influenced by many things, between others: interest, focus, emotions, high trust, ethics, situation, condition, etc. For example, if we are interested in something, then when the filter we would tend to be more open.
