Thames - A Personal Notebook

bits'n pieces that might be of use

First of the Fall

,

This is Claremont Gardens, eighteenth century, a National Trust spot and reasonably local for me. Not that it has a lot to do with the Thames except that I tend to use it as a "barometer" for local conditions and I was a little surprised this year when the frosts seemed to be running late with the autumn winds due but, in fact and as you can see, the leaves are just turning. Fall is imminent here.
Take a look at their website..... it is a pleasant place to spend a few hours if you are in the area.

Oh what a beautiful and peaceful looking place. Would love to be floating along in a canoe or taking a meandering walk through the trees.

Pam! Hi!
This garden is eighteenth century - and that big cypress is over two hundred years old - nearly as old as me (today)! It is the last one of four unfortunately but, seems quite happy with the spot it has chosen.
Yes, it is a pretty place....
