As is pointed out in the "Wiki", Staines is part of the commuter belt. This does not detract in any way from the Thames Path walk and I came across many items to keep me entertained all the way along the reach. As you clear the M25 bridge you can relax in the knowledge that you have now left the influence of London behind and, with that, the river takes on a different character. Enjoy the stroll.
