What a beautiful and serene setting. I'm curious if the area ever floods.

I love the lockkeeper's house.

My - you are quick! It is an expensive area...and tranquility rules for most of the year.. I think , if my memory serves me correctly that all new builds have to have open basements i.e raft floor on basement walls open to outside conditions (on stilts - so to speak). It is a flood plain after all but if you have noticed the numbers of weirs and their sizes (on the maps) you can be sure it is well under control. Act of God is something else....and yes, everybody likes the house - seems to touch a chord somewhere!
