Tonight I am listening to a podcast from the Swedish Radio about my biggest idol from my youth. I had two big posters of him over my bed when I was a boy. Ronnie Pettersson, Formula one-star, from my hometown Örebro! He made his first F1 race in 1970, when I was nine years old. He was tragically cilled after a crash in a race at Monza, Milano, Italy 1978. I saw the race on TV, he survived the crash, but died after one night at hospital. I still remember when one of my friends at school told me "-Did you hear that Ronnie is dead?" We couldn't believe it!! Some weeks later we saw his friends carrying his coffin from the church of Nikolai in Örebro together with 5000 more people. It is 30 years ago but I still get tears in my eyes when I listen to the program. He was my first biggest idol! And he was a superstar!
