Trip to Turku

Trip to Turku magnify
Spent the last night of February and the first 2 days of March in Turku - the former capital of Finland.

Well, thanks to Hieu H25 and his housemates who were very warm and welcomed to us, we had a good trip. Went to the first cathedral of Finland - the Tuomio Cathedral (also called the Cathedral of Turku) located by the river named Aura. It was my very first time being inside a western cathedral. It has a reallllllllly huge Organ (or whatever it is called) and a small one (a little bigger than a normal piano). Very impressive.

Turku is a good city. The houses and apartments are cheaper than Helsinki and some other big cities (maybe it's because they have more than enough room for everyone). Anyway, I hate the wind and cold. We were trembling all the time. The only good thing about the cold is that we can walk ON the river. It is an unforgettable experience! (we were nervous, though, can't know when the ice melts). The picture above was taken while we were at the middle of the river. Looks cool! :")

Anyway, we spent something like more than €100 altogether for bus and train tickets, local busses, food and drinks. Thank Hieu and his friends once again for we didn't have to pay the room (he even cooked for us! gosh, this man is the best friend ever!). We were talking to one of his housemate and he said we could plan another trip, rent a small ship and go out to the sea to fish, around sometime in the summer. Sounds good, doesn't it?

It was a nice weekend. Gotta go to school tomorrow T.T while my girlfriend hangs out with her friends since they have their break this week. It's sooooo unfair!!! And, hehehe, you know what, the most unfair thing is that, in Helsinki and Turku, we have 2 breaks for the spring semester. I'll have my one-more-week break by the end of March while my girlfriend and her friends will have to go to school again smile)

Ok! Have a nice week, everyone! And by the way, I have finished downloading Monster-the animation, Voltron (or Dũng Sĩ Hesman) and Waltz with Bashir - one of the Oscar-nominated animations! I won't be bored this month. The only series left to download is Nàng Đê-Chang-Kưm (Jewel in the Palace) - I have downloaded, like, 60 episodes already.

By the way again, one more little thing, my girlfriend told me today, I have the habit of saying "like" (kiểu) a lot. Well, It's okay, I guess. I won't change. At least I think I don't say it when I'm doing my presentations. Arrrrggggggggg...... I neeeeeeeeeeeed IDEAs for our group's presentations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
