Staying grateful

Life throws to us all manner of things some good and some bad. Do we deserve the good ones? What about the unpleasant ones?
The scriptures says as a man thinks in his heart so is he. In order words focusing on the good in life attracts the good, focusing on the wrongs attracts the wrong. That is why it is very important to stay grateful always.

Someone said if the only prayer you say in your life is ‘thank you,’ that would suffice. – Meister Eckhart

You can't be thankful and complain at the same time.

Two psychologists, Michael McCollough of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and Robert Emmons of the University of California at Davis, wrote an article about an experiment they conducted on gratitude and its impact on well-being. Their conclusion of the study indicated that the people who stayed grateful daily had a higher reported levels of alertness, enthusiasm, determination, optimism, and energy. In addition they experienced less depression and stress, were more likely to help others, exercised more regularly, and made greater progress toward achieving personal goals.

Be grateful today.
What should I be grateful for? Thank the bus conductor for giving you the exact change. Thank your spouse for cooking breakfast or for the money, thank God for today, for the sun, for the trees, sky, birds, the clothes, shelter, you can see, talk, walk, sleep, eat? Oooo the list is endless.

Grateful people are successful people and successful people are grateful.
