China's offical statistics on tele service usage

According to offical data collected by the Ministry of Information Industry, until the end of August 2005, the popoluation of mobile user in China has exceed 370 million, increased by 37.952 million users comparing with last year. The number of landline users was recorded about 370 million, increased by 30.54 million users comparing with the data last year.
The statistic also showed ,by the end of August this year, the ownership of mobile phone among Chinese citizen is 28%. There were 19.06 billion pieces of text msg been sent last year ,the penetration rate of landline was 26%.
