On University Teachers

The first teacher I had in this university is Miss Yu, who taught us Basic English Course for two years. What impressed us most was that she never wore the same clothes every time when having classes during two years. Then, I understood that university teachers had much more freedom in appearance, arrangement, as well as teaching methods.
Every week, we met teachers once or twice. They had seats and microphones in the classroom, and most of them didn't have to use chalks any more. There was less homework to grade, and less relationship with the students. Therefore, many teachers just came read loudly according the books, without any care about the drowsy students. When the examination came, they either told you what the exact questions would be, or just let you fail without giving you any hint. This was the loose relationship existing in university.
However, I found out that most of the strict teachers built strong relationship with their students, because they cared about each other. In this term, like many other classmates, I really respect some of our teachers.
Miss Zhang is the very teacher that pays much attention to students' interest and development. Everyone feel freely but beneficial in her class. Whenever she becomes strict, we know that she does that for the sake of us. It is a pity that her eyesight is getting worse and worse, due to the long-time reading and burdensome work. Every time when she tries her best to see clearly the characters in the book or search around the whole class without seeing the raising hands, I feel SO sorry that I cannot help.
Miss Sun is a young teacher, graduates not long ago, but it is her sense of responsibility and friendliness that impress me most. Besides, she is the first teacher I have met who can teach the boring theory in such an interesting and passionate way. I saw tears in her eyes several times in the class when she talked about the history or mentioned the situation of the current theoretical teaching.
Foreign teachers are a special group. Most of them taught in their own way, giving too much freedom to the students. However, Mr. Laughing Buddha is so different. He had his own strict teaching plan. He gave us freedom, but also made us busy all through the term spending much time reading different kinds of newspapers and magazines, writing various articles or editorials or thesis, and even setting up this blog. We always complained, but at the same time, in our heart, we knew that everything he assigned would benefit us a lot gradually.
We really need this kind of teachers, and we feel lucky and satisfied that we have had them.
Well, as to the whole teaching system in university, there is less freedom and openness. Every time when the term is going to the end, all of us are worrying about the exams, as well as regretting for not getting anything after one term's study. And it is common that many students keep regretting and complaining after graduation. Stop being exam-oriented! We need to learn something practical. I know it is not all the teaching system's fault, but everyone longs for the change for the better.
Teachers can be really important and influential in one's life. Thanks to all the hard-working teachers and hope those, who still lack of qualification and passion or are poor in teaching methods, can stop harming us and start to learn and change for the better. Teachers cannot just teach without learning.

Yeah, it is the whole education system should be blamed for. We have to learn so many things in school, which have little use after leaving school. When we step into the real society, sometimes we have to learn everything again from the very beginning.
So, we should practise while learning, and pay more attention to using. Education system cannot be changed all at once, so we should have our own style of learning. After all, always blaming and complaining are of no use.

In fact, all of my classmates set up blogs because our teacher Mr.Laughing Buddha asked us to do our homework here. And he will assign the topic for us. So, that is why all of the friends in my list have posted about teachers and many other similar topics. Sorry for causing confuse to you.
Recently, I am busy preparing for the exam.
And the exams will be over in 26th this month.

For many years, I have kept one dream---to be a really good teacher, at least, to treat every student equally.
In this winter vacation, I had my own class of students for the first time. I learned so much from that experience.
Everyone wants to be perfect, but there are so many unexpected matters and limitations. So, sometimes I just feel confused and almost at a loss. Maybe I just over-estimated myself.
Therefore, in the following days, I have to be much more down-to-earth.
As the saying goes, when you point your index finger at others, you will find that there are three other fingers pointing at you. I have to do it from myself, without any more useless complaint.
