- Canon is not the name of a song; instead, it refers to a kind of musical composition in which the voices begin one after another, at regular intervals, successively taking up the same subject. It is a type of counterpoint employing the strictest form of imitation. All the voices of a canon have the same melody, beginning at different times.
- The most famous one is Canon in D composed by Johann Pachelbel around 1680.
- However, recently, a 24-year-old guy named JerryC (Jerry Chang) from Taiwan adapts it to a rock version, that is Canon Rock. It is really cool, which made JerryC world famous instantly.
- Numerous covers in attempt to emulate JerryC's unique style followed JerryC's popularity, the best-known one cover being one done by a guitarist by the name of FunTwo.
- Here, I would like to show you the show by Funtwo, because I like him more.
- Now, enjoy it!!!
