- As we know, New Year Eve is for get-togethers.
- Watching the CCTV New Year Eve Gala Show is one of them.
- Many people now in China hate or feel disappointed with the CCTV Gala Show.
- However, I found some performances there are really good.
- In fact, there have been 25 CCTV Gala Shows (from 1983 to 2007).
- Many people's growth go with it.
- Today, I will show you my favorite two performance, which are impressive and exciting.
- (1) Dance: Goddess of Mercy of a thousand hands / Thousand-Hand Bodhisativa (舞蹈:千手观音)
- performed by 21 deaf girls at 2005 CCTV New Year Eve Gala Show.
- All of them are from China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe.
- more: It caused a nationwide sensation. The movements were of breathtaking precision. The marvelous choreography, lavish costumes and perfect lighting were a thrilling experience. The audience never stopped wondering at the extraordinary accuracy of the 21 dancers' "thousand hands" gesticulating as if they belonged to one body. The dance was led by Tai lihua and choreographed and directed by Zhang Jigang. On September 28, 2004 at the Closing Ceremony of the 2004 Athens Paralympic Games the eight-minute debut of Thousand-hand Bodhisattva as a "theme song" wonderfully shocked the whole world.
- (2) Acrobatics: Playing Diabolos (杂技:俏花旦集体抖空竹)
- performed by China National Acrobatic Troupe at 2007 CCTV New Year Eve Gala Show.

Welcome back, and I was also very happy to see you in the office.
I hoped to talk to you more, but I was engaged in the work at that moment. So sorry.
However, I think we will get chance to communicate in the coming semester, no matter on this blog or in the campus.
Good luck to you in the new term.
Enjoy your teaching, as well as blogging, lol
