The mechanic and doctor

A mechanic was removing a cylinder-head from the motor of a Harley
motorcycle when he spotted a well-known cardiologist in his shop........

The cardiologist was there waiting for the service manager to come take
a look at his bike when the mechanic shouted across the garage,
"Hey Doc, want to take a look at this?"

The cardiologist, a bit surprised, walked over to where the mechanic was
working on the motorcycle. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his
hands on a rag and asked, "So Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart,
take the valves out, repair any damage, and then put them back in, and
when I finish, it works just like new. So how come I make $39,675 a year
and you get the reall y big bucks ($1,695,759) when you and I are doing
basically the same work?"

The cardiologist paused, smiled and leaned over, then whispered to the
mechanic...

"Try doing it with the engine running."

From a reader of this blog

Lets,
I must say I enjoyed your blog site. I have often thought of starting one, but what would I say or write about. The light bulb just hasn't come on yet.

My reply;

Jllee2007,
I put things in my blog that mean something to me, something that I might like see again somewhere in the future. Something that would tell me where I was back there if I was to read my own blog in the years ahead. Who I an today might be funny 5, 10, or 15 yrs. from now. Thing that I'd like people to be able to read after I've gone and be able to tell what I was about.
Blogs can be for you and not for anyone else persay. If you'd read it in some else blog and enjoy it why not put it out there yourself.
Start your blog and put things in it that you like,
D, AKA Lets
P.S. Thanks for the nice words

What do retired guys do?

I've often been asked, "What do you old guys do now that you're retired?"

Well, I have a friend who has a chemical background and one of the things we enjoy most is turning beer, bourbon, wine, and martinis into urine.

"And, we're pretty damn good at it!!"

OK, I've got to gave the dogs equal time, so...
