Bye Bye Sweden

I'm back home in Austria!

It was a nice journey home, everything worked out fine (despite a short flight delay - Ryanair of course! lol ) and guess what - we have sun in austria, muuuuch sun bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile up

My family, friends and Tobi welcomed me very lovely - nice to be back.

I'm looking forward to celebrate christmas tomorrow and I wish you all

GOD JUL and nice holidays

see pics of the journey and my first pics of austria...

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marie and Karin (the two lectures of our HRM course) made a lot of pictures during the different theme days and preparations, if you are interested in them click here.

Last days

I can't believe that my time in Sweden is over, time flies so faaaast...!! Today is my last day in Linköping, tomorrow at 6 o'clock in the morning the journey home will begin...

We also had our last "lecture" in form of a Motivation Day today, it was really hard to say good-bye to everyone afterwards. awww

But on the other hand I'm really looking forward to Tobi and spending Christmas with my family and friends. I missed them a lot.

Yesterday we made a what we call "Restleessa" where everybody bring the food, he/she cannot use anymore. The outcome was spaghetti with carrot-tomatosauce à la Martina, Petra, Manu, Emma, Dave, Thom and Matze - it was suprisingly very delicious!! wink

So now I will start to clean my room (it has to be perfectly clean according to Studentbostäder knockout ), then pack my suitcase and say good-bye to the rest sad
The good thing is that I will see Martina, Petra, Dave, Thom and Gregi soon again wink

Watch the Last-Days pictures and enjoy last impressions of Sweden wink
cu in Austria... bye

Austrian Farewell Party

A great party with almost all of our friends in order to feast one last time together before we leave next week. It's a really strange feeling if you leave all these great people knowing that you will probably never see them again. awww I will really miss you guys.

But it was a brilliant party and we had great fun! A perfect farewell!

etc.

Dresscode: was fancy or fun! lol

[HG] last time

HG closes this week on saturday, so yesterday was the last international evening for this year - and the last time for us anyway worried

We will really miss the bad music lol

self-made cookies

Enough of pepparkrakor and kanelbulle we decided to make our own cookies:
star cornflakes-choclat and
star shortcrust pastry cookies (ischler)

the whole event was tracked by anja's new camera - so watch the pics

outcomes:
greaaaaaat, delicious shortcrust pastry cookies and awful cornflake-choclat ones. I have no idea, what went wrong with the latter - because the receipt is that easy that you cannot make any mistakes... nobody knows left right left
.. and of course another outcome was 4 girls with bellyache happy

Christmas Market and Lucia celebration

Today Gamla Linköping was extremly crowdy, because a Christmas market took place there - with a lot of stands selling elk and rendeer sausages, wooden toys, salmon or woolen caps. Nothing useful at all wink
Of course they also sold glogg - but only with a breath of alcohol. down
But the atmosphere was very nice - with choirs, christmas music, christmas aroma and these nice typical swedish houses. Looked great! star star star

After that we participated at the lucia celebration in Karallen, where Folkungagillet (a folk dance team) showed typical swedish folk dances (which was suprisingly real fun and soooo cute to look at) and the Linnea University womens choir sang a couple of lucia songs (which also was amazing!!! ).

Conclusion of the day: Swedes should really learn a little bit more about real christmas markets, good glogg and good cookies. p bigsmile But so we learn to appreciate Austrian christmas markets even more and will really enjoy in 13 days. wink

Saturday

Shoppingtour through Linköping city, watching video and sitting togehter having fun. bigsmile

Matze's Birthday

Party in Rydsvägen 252, because Matze turned 25 ysterday.
Congratulation beer star

We made jelly shots using wodka instead of water to prepare the jelly. You have to try it once, but never again whistle

Besides that we are all in preparations for the Training Day next Wednesday, when we have to prepare and manage a whole day, teaching our colleagues about 5 different topics thematising Human Resource Management. Lot of work to do!

Schtudent Schlaget

Kravall in Karallen yesterday

I forgot my camera, therefore the pics are copyright by Martina wink
Watch also Dave's horrible pics whistle

Exam over!

Yes!!! Great! yes
My last exam "New Business Development - Entrepreneurship" is over. I cancelled my Swedish Course because I have neither the time nor the motivation for the exams next week and I don't need the credits... jippie

Now it's really winter in Sweden with snow everywhere and -5°C. It soooooooooo cold knockout
But watch yesterdays pictures to convince yourself. You have to know that we made the pics at 2 o'clock and the sun is going down already eek

After this cold fotosession we've been to IKEA - kind of relaxing with shopping wink
We made great taccos afterwards and partied in HG.

Great pics, great fun, great day!

Today our new course "Human Resource Mangement" has started, which will also be a lot of work, but at least no exam - just a lot of assignments and team works...

new pics online

...of yesterday's evening, of today's christmas market in Trägardsföreningen and of an exhausting and very cold bike tour of 20 km to Jädarvälen.

Great night at HG

Besides studying our loved Kirby and developing our (really gread and creative) BusinessPlan, there must be time for HG.

Watch yesterday's images.... >>>

LEGO Trippen

I'm sure all of you know LEGO - the toy with whom you can play hours and hours as child. In Linköping there is a Kravall named after it - don't ask me why. Possibly in Sweden students still play LEGO or miss it that much that.... whatever wink

It was fun! A crazy Swedish band played, which was funny to look at and dance with. lol

Oh and if you want to know why and how the Systembolaget developed, watch this MOVIE.

and of course watch my pics of yesterday ... wink and Pätzi's pics and Matzi's pics

Trip to Riga

After a little delay of one hour on the flight, we landed successfully in the capital of Latvia at Saturday afternoon. It was kind of bothersome, because we paid soooo much for the flight (€ 18,- for both ways lol wink thanks to Ryanair), but we are not unforgiving. Thus our trip started with a free beer in the bar of FriendlyFunFranks Backpackers Hostel, located directly in the old town on the waterfront of Daugava River. Really nice Hostel, friendly staff, always helpful tips and party-excursions every night.

After a loud night Martina and me started the exploration of the old town, which is really beautiful. There are a lot of old classy mansions and churches, but also a lot of derelict ruins and horrible houses. Unfortunately the most obvious thing about Riga was that people in general (with exceptions - of course) are very unfriendly. If you need help on the street, you should be prepared to ask many people to get a real answer.

Monday was my favorite day. We made an excursion to Livu Akvapark a huge waterpark outside of Riga with a lot of slides, saunas, jacuzzis, etc. That was real fun and we all felt great after it. In the evening we went to an Irish pub, where Caspar (one guy from the hostel) arranged a Curry-All-you-can-eat-dinner for everybody who wanted to join, with a lot of (very very very very) spicy curry and a lot of cheap beer (a liter with get-2-buy-1-coupons for 1,65 Lats - that is about 2€).

On Tuesday we spent the forenoon in a great shopping mall outside of Riga (Spice) and flown back to Stockholm in the afternoon.

It was a (veeeeeeeeeeery) funny, interesting but exhausting trip... and now I need some sleep wink

TopSim Simulation

This week the director of our study at our home university - Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Wolfgang Kremser - was here and made a business game with the development of a business plan followed by a simulation with our "Entrepreneurship and New Business Development" - Course. That was really exhausting (mostly 11 hours in university).

On Wednesday he invited Petra and me for dinner in the city - very luxurious. wink star

Hence that was really a stressful week. worried knockout

Yesterday we ate Pellkartoffeln all together and went to Plata afterwards.

<<<<<<>>>>>>
As a reward for this stressful week we will fly to Riga tomorrow for 4 days, I'm really looking forward to a weekend with no uni-stress at all. GREAT!

CU on Tuesday again...

Stora Torget at night

Great Corridor Party

Big corridor party at Thom's place and celebration of Emil's birthday.
Happy Birthday once more.

Best party of the week!!!star star star star star

You have to watch the pics!!

Halloween Party

Yes it's true we really ate original Vorarlberger Käsknöpfle mit Kartoffelsalat in Sweden - thanks to Michi and Susan... mhmh that was delicious wink

Afterwards there was a house party (no not a corridor party a whole house party) in ryds allé 11. Every corridor had a different theme (like jungle). Cool idea - cool party with a lot of funny costums... party

Typically swedish

Yesterday we started a typical swedish day - with eating Köttbullar and shopping in IKEA.

2nd day

Yesterday we took advantage of the nice fall weather and visited Gamla Linköping and the city itself. Unfortunately my camera was low of battery, hence I can't show you pictures of the afternoon...

but in the evening my camera was fit again for Jazz in Flamman. bigsmile

Regina and Christoph are here

My little sister and her boyfriend arrived at monday night in Linköping. At their first day in Sweden, we showed them the university and and the campus, the sauna in Ryd and HG - of course rolleyes

Tentakravall

Jippie one more exam is over now bigsmile up

Time for one of the biggest kravalls in the year: The Tentakravall which took place yesterday in Karallen. I don't know how many people where there, but I guess a lot - it was quickly booked up. But thanks to Dave and Thom we had the pleasure to be there p
We danced a lot, drunk a lot, sang a lot of karaoke, laughed a lot,... it was really a fun night and a loooong night (due to switch to winter time)!!

------------------------------------------------------
watch the pictures to find out what "party like animals" means...

need a break...

Yes it's learning-time again, on saturday the final exam of our second course "International Business" will take place. Yesterday we had additionally to hand in and present our final assignment (my topic: Future pathways of the European automotive market instancing on general motors). Due to the fact that we are 12 teams in this course, we had to listen to 12 presentations - really boring right

Hence in the evening we took a little break of learning and celebrated thomas' birthday, which he had 12 days ago happy. Ending in HG once more...

<< PICTURES >>
Our present for Thomas No.1: "all ingredients for a romantic sauna-evening with Anja" thus Thomas No.2 tinkered a symbolic sauna out of a beer-pallet... nice work! wink

Weird night in Flamman

Yesterday we really made it to Flamman - what a great thing bigsmile
For the last 2 months we always talked about it (=going to flamman), but never really did it. First impression: weird! The location is quiet cool but the people were - let's say - different. lol But it is not always like that, as the others say. I'm wondering when/if will be the next flamman-visit.

On Wednesday they play live Jazz there, and that is very great I've heard. Let's see...

Stockholm with Tobi

After a little Good-Bye-Tobi-Dinner at Sunday we started our journey to Stockholm at 5 o'clock in the morning. Our first stop was the Red Boad Malären Hostel - a houseboat in the centre of Stockholm - to lighten our baggage. We took the ferry to Djurgardstaden, where we wanted to visit Aquaria - a water museum - but it was closed on Monday, so we visited the near Vasamuseum. This famous museum is about a huuuge viking ship, which was perished in the 17th century and was salvaged few years ago. It is really impressing to see what these people had built up at that time. They also found skelletons(or parts of it), clothes, tools, and other stuff - really interesting, no joke! bigsmile

Following we went back to the city: lunch at Pong (great Asian buffet), shopping, sightseeing, drinking coffee, window-shopping, dinner in the same Pizzera as last time and a good-night-drink at the house-boot's terrace. A very long and exhausting day!

Today I had to say good-bye to Tobi in the morning cry I would have wanted him to stay, but he will have gratuation ceremnoy at friday and some job interviews the next days... sad

Two very nice days in Stockholm, but the end was sad.

mhmh delicious pizza

Thanks to Emma we landed in a great Pizzeria yesterday - Restaurang&Pizzeria Napoli. Delicious pizza, Vitlöksbröd and salat - but way toooooooo much. Only Tobi and Gregi ate up, all others hat to capitulate - like me bigsmile

In Swedish Pizzerias it is common to get cabbage salat, bread and butter as a starter for free and it is also common that the pizzas are that huge, that you can't see the plate under it.

Corridor Party

Yesterday we arranged a Mega-Corridor-Party in our Corridor. Why? Just for fun! Everybody (Catherine, Mathias, Matthias, Hanna and me) had to invite at least 10 people, thus the common room was full wink
And by the way we celebrated Thomas' Birthday! Gratulations! party

For evident-reasons - to see who have generally been here - we hanged up a poster, which every guest has to sign.

Great night (until 5 o'clock in the morning), great people and great mass in the morning -> you can say a really successful party!

October 11th

Another Thursday night in Platâ! It was very funny, but getting out of bed this morning wasn't funny at all. rolleyes

the last days

<< Sunday >>
Tobi and me had a really lazy sunday this week. The highlight of the day was that we found elephant's bull during a walk trough the wood. confused

<< Monday >>
After a lecture in the morning we enjoyed the sun, played tennis and went to the sauna. That was a really fine day! If you live in Ryd you can easily rent one of the saunas from Studentbostäder, you only need to pick up the keys and fire the sauna yourselves. For free!! Of course the saunas aren't the most wonderful ones, but you can enjoy it anyway. mhmh...

<< Tuesday >>

Yesterday we've been to Norrköping and this time I also saw the beautiful part of it (which I haven't seen last time). Now I can also make my choice: Norrköping is more pleasant than Linköping! Because it has a lot of these great old beautiful villas in the city, a lot of park resources and is very very clean. In the evening we've been to HG - of course - after a Sangriaparty at Ana's place.

PICTURES

visit Gamla and enjoy Barbecue

Yesterday Tobi and me visited Gamla - the old city of Linköping - and the city itself.

In the evening we made barbecue in front of my room - yes barbecue in october! rolleyes It was nice, but became very cold after a while. pssst

Watch the Photoalbums for pictures...

Tennis and Party

In Ryd there are a few tennis courts from FRRyd, which you can use for free, you only need rackets and balls. Great opportunity! So Tobi and me took advantage of the nice weather yesterday. Although it's not real warm any more, it was ok wink

In the evening Petra and her corridor-mate(s) (I'm not sure who actually invited people besides Petra and Christian bigsmile ) made a party, which was really funny party

<< watch the pictures >>

<< [HG] >>

On Tuesdays everybody starts early with his/her studies in Ryd, because the evening is booked for HG.

Yesterday in the late afternoon HG arranged also an Oktoberfest for all german-speaking students with original Schweinshaxe und Sauerkraut. But we haven't been there, entry was too expensive and the thought of a pack germans yowling folk music wasn't that charming.

Lazy weekend

Friday: a little bit preparty at Ana's place - without real party for ill-manu

Saturday: movie-evening with Cuba Libre and a lot of sweets with Anja & Thomas

Sunday: Birthday-dinner for granny Martina - 24 years old now, almost 30 lol flirt
. ......... bussaaaaaaaaale:star: << happy birthday once moreparty >>

...see birthday girl's pics here

Kravall LE MANS

Yesterday there was a 50ies-Kravall in Karallen, namend after the popular LeMans-Race, because it was the kick-off to a Gocart-race at Saturday. The barmen were dressed as cowboys with a "little" gay touch and the cocktails were named f.ex. Be-Bop-A-Lula.

At the beginning of the Kravall there was also a drinking-championship-separation, which is reaaaaally weird!! Some Sweds see hardcore-drinking almost as sport. tztz rolleyes

Terrific evening. Nothing more to say... wink see my pictures or Dave's pictures

...just because it's Tuesday

What have you learnt about Tuesdays in Ryd?

Right! HG-Time!! up

Our new course and the BBQ-ghosts

Today we had our first lecture in "International business" - our new 7.5 ECTS course - which will be a looooooooooooot of work.

Will will have to...
star read the book "The dynamics of International Strategy"
star reat a lot of articles
star hand in at least 1 team-assignment every week (7 assignments in 4 weeks)
star hand in a final 8.000-words assignments
star do a presentation about it
star pass the final 40-questions exam
star ... and try not to freak out because of increasing loss of friends, sleepless nights and 0,2% free time worried

The workload is heavy again - nice! sad

--------------------------------------------------------

When the full moon shows up over Ryd - like yesterday - you can see 4 scary ghosts at the BBQ-Place:

Last but not least: Great news from Austria - Tobi has passed his diploma examination.
Congratuliation Mr. Dipl.-Ing. Ströhle

Continuation of the last entry

Party at Martina's place
cannot be described in words lol

... the headline means "final"-exam - of course bigsmile

Final exam AOT

Yes you're right - no HG- and no Plata-entry this week. awww

Reason: we had to learn for our [horrible] final exam of our first course Advanced Organisation theory, which has occured today between 2pm and 6pm.

Review of the course
We had lectures every monday and tuesday and we had to prepare a special assignment for the friday seminar every week. Besides that we had to read this nice book (544 pages):
It consists of 49 articles from different authors of different time periodes (f.ex. Smith, McCallum, Towne, Follett, Mintzberg, Taylor, Ouchi, Al Gore and a lot more).
Topics are: Classic and Neoclassic Organisation theory, Human Resource Theory, "Modern" Structural Organisation theory, Organisational Economics theory, Power and Politics Organisation theory, Organisational Culture Theory, Reform through Changes in Organisational Culture (including TQM, In Search of Excellence and others)

Rating
You could have reached 10 points maximum every week. 4 pts for participation at the friday seminar and 6 pts maximum for the quality of your assignment. But you need 6 pts minimum every week to pass the course. At the final exam you could have reached 50 points maximum, but you need at least 30 pts to pass (very strict you see).

The Exam
For the exam we had to know the exact title of every article in the book, the author(s), the year when it was written and - of course - the content of the article itself. That is a lot to memorize - believe me!! knockout HORROR!

... but finally the hardcore-learning has a end today!! I'm so glad that it's over!! And now it's party-time... winebeer wine star cheers yes

Stockholm trip

We've been to the capital of Sweden yesterday. It was a looong, exhausting day, but it was great!
Our day looked like this:

05:45 departure from Ryd to the Resecentrum (central station) by bike | sooo early zzz
06:25 departure from Linköping Resecentrum by bus (swebusexpress)
09:15 arrival at the central station in Stockholm | weather= cloudy and coooold
...... walk through Drottninggattan (the main shopping street in Stockholm) | yes, just a walk - no shopping, the shops are closed until 10
10:00 walk through Gamla Stan (the old city on the island in the center of stockholm) and the harbour
11:00 coffee time in a lovely café named Chokladkoppen with Kanelbulle and blueberry pie mhmh love
12:00 change of guards at the king's palace, big tam-tam with the military music | was nice to see, but it was soooooooooooo cold
13:00 visit the german church - really typically german! rolleyes
14:00 again to the harbour - direction södermalm, we were walking through the side streets to see the REAL stockholm
...... view place Mosebacke, where you can see the old city and the harbour from above
15:00 walk to Södermalm, an alternative part of the city
16:00 walk back to Drottninggattan through Gamla Stan | now it's shopping time!! bigsmile
...... unfortunately most shops close at 17:00, thus it wasn't a long shopping pleasure
18:00 slow walk to Radmansgatan, with a little down-hill action in a park (stupid city map rolleyes)
19:00 meeting with the others at McDonals to brief the dinner-plan
20:30 dinner at Pizzeria Buena Sierra at a sidestreeet of Radmansgatan
21:30 walk to the harbour and Gamla Stan to see the city by night
22:00 back to the central station
22:50 departure from Stockholm to Linköping by bus
01:40 arrival in Linköping resecentrum
...... back to Ryd by bike | soooooooo tired, sooooooo cold sad o

It was a long day and we walked about 10.000 km (at least gg), but we have seen a lot of Stockholm and it's really a beautiful city!! We will come back soon bigsmile up

Today's riddle: which image is the original one?? rolleyes

Martina's pictures HERE

Plata of course

2 highlights from Thursday night in Plata:

star We met Tobias - a Swede, who made his student exchange in DORNBIRN this year in SS and who used to go skiing at Golm lol Petra could remember him from the FH - what a hazard!!
star Ana is back from Spain!! yes

It was veeeeeeery hot in Plata this time, although it was not as crowdy as last time... you can find pictures in the going-out- album...

Norrköping

After a little bit quequing for a 2€-LIU-Sweater (you know you have to keep on training lol ) at noon we decided to go to Norrköping. The university in Norrköping belongs to the uni in Linköping, so LIU-students have the possibility to use a free Campusbus to the Campus in Norrköping, which is about 40 km northeast. The weather was great and also the city was nice - but not really extraordinary. I cannot say whether Linköping or Norrköping is better - they are quite the same for me. Watch the pictures for impressions...

First corridor meeting

Yeah we did it - today we had our first corridor meeting. That's great!up (after for 4 weeks lol )

I live together with:
star Catherine (Canada)
star Matthias (Germany)
star Hanna (Sweden)
star Josephine (Sweden)
star a strange guy, whom I've never seen and maybe never will rolleyes I even don't know his name, weird!
star Thomas (Sweden) will move in in October, since his studies haven't started yet

... one room is empty. Maybe someone will come or not - we don't know.

Our major topic: a great corridor party, which will happen at the beginning of october bigsmile (in order that Tobi can party with us JIPPIE!! love )

Additionally we have to do something with the blank walls in the common room, it's not very friendly there right now. Hanna's idea was to steal every poster we see... I will let u know how that will look like in the end happy

I think we will have a lot of fun, they are all very nice!! But I've known that before today p

fyra-veckan-i-sverige-kalas (4-weeks-in-sweden-party)

Yep it's true, we are in Sweden for 4 weeks now. And No we can't decide, if it's a long or a short time. On the one hand we really get used to everything and settle down, on the other hand everything's still exciting and new. You meet so many new faces and get to know so many strange swedish traditions rolleyes

And it was Tuesday anyway -> conclusion = preparty + HG bigsmile

Welcome Dinner

The University and ESN Linköping welcomed all exchange students to a traditional student dinner at the Nationeras Hus downtown. Dress code: formal! It was very funny to see everybody looking so serious (at the beginning.) party

The Sweds have amusing rules, that must be kept in at sittnings. f.ex. If somebody shouts "ooooooh Tempo", he can choose a song and everybody (!!) has to sing. The choice of songs included "Bommerlunder", "What shall we do with the drunken sailor", "Broder Jakob" in every language, "Yogi Bear", and so on... Another rule is, that if somebody shouts "Omstart", it means bonus (singing one more time). If somebody shouts "ooooooh ska skol" (or something like this), everybody has to drink. And if you really want to you can also perform a song at the stage... you have to sing and drink the whole evening sing very funny!

Of course, we also got something to eat, but that wasn't really good. Here's the menu:

The Pannacotta and the pork fillet were uneatable, so we only ate potatoes and sauce. The highlight was the dessert - that was sooooo delicious, but too small worried. If it comes to dessert or cakes, Sweden is really great!!

Needless to say, there was an afterparty! yes <- these are mine
You can find Martina's pictures here and Gregi's pictures here

Kalasmottagning at Cloetta Center

Kalasmottagningen (a combination of the Swedish words "Kalas", meaning party, and "mottagning", meaning reception) is a way to welcome new student to Linköping University. It's a popular event amongst the students of the university. More than 5000 students join this event down in Cloetta Center every year. It starts off with a fair at 3 pm where you can meet representatives from local companies and student organizations.

There were some performances from different students groups - f.e. a dance group and orchestra - and a The Sounds - concert afterwards. That's not my cup of tea rolleyes, but it was fun anyway! p

International Evening

On Tuesdays it's international evening at HG, where all exchange students meet and that's why it is always very crowdy. Yesterday we've been there at half past 10 and there was already a huuuge queue. We had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes to come in, but that's not as bad as it sounds, because there are a lot of people in the same situation and you have always fun chatting with your queue-neighbours. Additionally there were the new medicine-students wearing hairnets and the new nurse-students wearing big red-white-crosses, they made a great party! After closing time we ended up at an after-party (as usual) at Tash's Corridor. Today's teammeeting in the morning wasn't that fun knockout

Saturday (night)

As if we haven't known that sweds are crazy, there was a very strange homo/transsexual parade in the city yesterday. Unfortunately I hadn't my camera with me.

Yes, we've been to the city - shopping of course! bigsmile
Shopping in Linköping is really fun, because there are a loooot of nice clothing stores [f.ex. BikBok, JC, Gina Tricot , Indiska, Cubus , MQ and of course H&M, Vero Moda and others... - you have to know: Sweds are very very very stylish!! You will not find anybody without a pair of leggins at home - doesn't matter if man or woman wink lol Besides clothes we've also found a cheaper supermarket than Willy:s there: Netto. Not very big, but mostly important cheap! (Not Austrian cheap - Swedish cheap rolleyes ).

In the evening we wanted to go to Michaels Birthday Party at half past 10. But Christian, Emma and Daniel rang my bell at 10 and teached me, that we "are not allowed" to be at home that time, because Sweds generally start to drink at about 6 o'clock. rolleyes So we had a little Pre-party at Emma's place [you cannot counter them zip gg]. Next we went to Michaels corridor to sing "Happy Birthday" and drink german beer. After a little pit stop at my place (Schnaps time no ) we ended up in HG once more, where we were dancing until closing time (that's sadly at 3 o'clock anywhere in Sweden). -> One good thing about Ryd is that there is always a pre- or after-party somewhere, so we went to a after-party at Petra's house. That evening was a lot of fun!!! bigsmile

You can find photos here.

Plata

On Thursday it's Plata time. (a really nice lounge, bar, restaurant and disco in the centre of linköping)
Free entry until 10 and happy hour the whole night! That's nice! beer yes

You can find pictures on the Tom-Greg-Dave-Blog

Pizza and Corridor party

As a little Thank-you Petra and I cooked Pizza for our Swedish friends at my corridor. Also some of my corridor-neighbours and the Mechatronic guys joined us. After playing drinking games we wanted to go to the HG (of course Tuesday is International Evening there), but it was too crowdy and we decided to make a party for ourselves. So we landed in Davids corridor together with the Australians and continued our drinking and chatting... it was a lot of fun bigsmile

Canoe tour

Yesterday we've been to a canoe tour through Kinda Kanal - directly through Linköping, which was a lot of fun. Although the wheater was awful in the beginning, it became great after an hour. We've even coped the watergates successfully!! It was really fascinating to see Linköping from water. Afterwards we've grilled curious swedish sausages and chilled at the Kanut Klubben Linköping.

Thx Michael for arranging everything!! It was a great day! bigsmile up
