Tent cities a result of inflation and poor economics

With the value of the American dollar having dropped to all time low based on US Government estimate of inflation the dollar has lost over ninety percent of its value. A lagging economy with the longest time of unemployment ever seen since the great depression and a job market which does not seem like it will see substantial growth anytime soon the future is difficult for most people. Some of the people hit hardest is the quickly growing homeless population as more and more places which are known as tent cities continue to appear all over America.
First reported four years ago in 2008 this was observed on a wide scale. It has exploded since then with a record high and long unemployment and massive foreclosure all across the country. Tent cities are usually unofficial places where a large number of homeless people have gotten together and instead of setting up houses they pitch up tents to set up their own community of sorts.
People will often try to work together while searching for jobs and trying to save up their money. The number of homeless people in America is estimated to be well over 500,000 and some people suspect that with the continued lack of jobs that it could be closer to one million.
The bottom is though that places like this where people gather is not so much a rarity anymore but becoming rather common in some areas. While some people living in such cities are people who made bad decisions in life a lot of them are simply people were laid off and have been unable to find employment.
Lacking anywhere else to go they often end up moving to places like this while trying to get their lives together. What makes things even worse for these people is that while some communities will recognize these small townships there have been other townships which have tried to tell people that they need to disperse and cannot gather like this for extended periods of time.
Regardless if people doing this violates city ordinance or not the simple fact is that in some states priorities are not currently in order. Everything should be done to support people in such bad situations not discourage them. Some city's have sixty or so resident while others will have a few hundred. People need to be aware that this is a very real problem in America which is slowly but steadily growing.
Real solutions will only happen when the downward economic trends are fixed. In the meantime it is important that people do everything they can to help each other since places like the is are only expected to continue grow in size and number.
