THE TRUE IMPLICATIONS OF PASSOVER

Premise
Passover is a very important feast which should be not missed on these last days.
Now, let’s study the necessity of Passover for these last days.

Theme
God Jehovah established His appointed feasts for Moses to carry out in the desert for 40 years. The feasts established by God in the Old Testament represented the work of the good news that Jesus Christ practiced in the New Testament in order to fulfill God’s redemption.

Exodus 12:1-14

“…Take care of them (lambs or goats) until the 14th day of the month (14th day of January of the holy calendar)… the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight… This is a day you are to commemorate ; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord- a lasting ordinance.”

The Passover that Moses as well as his people celebrated for the first time is the pattern of the Passover of the New Covenant that Jesus Christ together with His disciples celebrated right before He was arrested.

Luke 22:15

“And he (Jesus Christ) said to them, ‘I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you (his apostles) before I suffer.’”

The precious blood of Jesus Christ is the Passover Lamb’s blood.

I Corinthians 5:7-8

“…For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.”

Numbers 9:1-5

“…Celebrate it (Passover) at the appointed time, at twilight on the fourteenth day of this month, in accordance with or its rules and regulations.”

After celebrating Passover for the first time, the Israelites left Egypt and entered the desert. In the second year, they continued celebrating Passover in the desert.

I Corinthians 11:23-26

“…the Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed (the night of Passover) took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, ‘This is my body, which is for you, do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the New Covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.’ For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.’”

The Passover of the Old Testament is the shadow representing the work of the New Testament, which was the Passover celebrated by the apostles in “the desert of faith” as commanded by Jesus Christ.
The apostles celebrated and announced the New Covenant after Jesus’s sacrifice and ascension, and the apostles testified that the New Covenant should be announced until the end.

After leaving Egypt, for 40 years, Israelites did not celebrate Passover until the year right before their entering Canaan. This fact is the shadow prophesying that after Jesus Christ and his apostles died, the Passover of the New Covenant would not be abided by in the Darkened Religious Age though it has been the New Covenant that should be announced among the public by the time God again comes to the earth.

Conclusion
The history of the Israelites’ leaving Egypt and entering Canaan is the shadow that we, the people of God, will leave this evil earth of crimes, which is similar to the Egypt of the old times, and we will enter the kingdom of heaven, which is similar to the Canaan of the heavens.
Right before entering Canaan, all Israelites carried out the work assigned by God so as to prepare themselves for entering the Canaan.

Joshua 5:10-12

“On the evening of the fourteenth day of the month, while camped at Gilgal on the plains of Jericho, the Israelites celebrated the Passover …”

The Israelites camped at Gilgal on the plains of Jericho and celebrated Passover.
It is the same that on these last days, the people of God have to celebrate Passover so that they may enter heavenly Canaan, the kingdom of heaven. This is the will of salvation and administration of God implied in the Passover feast. Therefore, if we are the people chosen by God to enter the kingdom of heaven, we have to celebrate Passover. This was prophesied as below.

Isaiah 25:6-8

“On this mountain (Mount Zion), the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all people, a banquet of aged wine -the best of meats and the finest of wines. On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all people, the sheet that covers all nations ; he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces ; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.”

The feast with the best of meats and the finest of wines, the aged wine, means the Passover feast that has not been celebrated for a very, very long time (from AD 325 until now, Passover has not been being celebrated by the great majority of so-called “Christians”, who call themselves the people of Jesus Christ).
According to the will and the program of redemption of the Lord God,we, the people of God, will be able to enter the kingdom of heaven because we have been celebrating Passover as Jesus Christ celebrated 2000 years ago.
Please celebrate the Passover so that you may enter the kingdom of heaven, your true homeland.
