Church of God

WHEAT AND WEEDS

Premise
Every church according to its sect has its doctrine and resolve. Are we able to distinguish the true church from a false church? The Holy Bible distinguishes the true church from a false church like wheat and weeds.
Matthew 13:24-30, 37-43

“Jesus told them another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone is sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the wheat also appeared. The owner’s servants came to him and said,’ Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ ‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. The servants asked him,’ Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ ‘No,’ he answered,’ because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; gather the wheat and bring it into my barn. ’….He answered,’ The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stand for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. As the weeds are pulled up and burns in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where they will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He, who has ears, let him hear.”

In the parable, Jesus Christ said, “First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned” and He explained :”His angels will throw them into the fiery furnace where they will be weeping and gnashing of teeth”. So, weeds mean evil-doers/devils, and wheat means true Christians, God’s genuine children.

Theme

Jesus Christ said that those who do evil will not be eligible to enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 7:21-23

“Not everyone who say to me, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day,’ Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly,’ I never knew you. Away from me, you evil doers!”

The weeds mean the churches who have not been obeying God’s commandments (i.e. God’s Ten Commandments in the Old Testament revised by Jesus Christ by means of the Passover anniversary at late the afternoon before He was crucified. This problem will be explained in detail later. Remember that it is only Jesus Christ who had all authority to revise the Ten Commandments of the Old Testament so that we nowadays may practise God’s will by praising only, not by offering sheep, oxen,…to God; and remember that it is not anyone else who can revise God’s Commandments except Jesus Christ, the only incarnation of God as revealed in the Holy Bible including the Old and New Testaments. It is not any priest or any elder who may change any of God’s Commandments.
God wants us to come back the state and the genuine faith of the Primary Church of God, which state and faith had existed before the weeds, the evil regulations, the man-made commandments, were sowed and appeared.
Ephesians 2:20

“You are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.”

The truth of the Primary Church of God is the complete truth. We should keep that truth. So, on those days, what truth was kept by the Primary Church of God ?
Firstly, Jesus Christ kept the Sabbath days as His custom, and did His apostles.
Luke 4:16

“He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood and read.”

Acts 17:2

“As his custom was, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,” [the Scriptures = the Old Testament]

Secondly, The Primary Churchy of God kept the Passover of the New Covenant.
Matthew 26:17-19, 26-28

“On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked,’ Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?’ He replied,’ Go into the city to a certain man and tell him,’ The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’ So, the disciples did as Jesus has directed them and prepared the Passover…. While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,’ Take and eat; this is my body.’ Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying,’ Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the Covenant, which is poured out or many for the forgiveness of sins.”

Thirdly, in the Primary Church of God, the female people cover their heads while praying.
1 Corinthians 11:1-6,16

“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the teachings, just as I passed them on to you. Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of every woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head - it is just as though her head were shaved. If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head…. If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice - nor do the churches of God.”

Fourthly, the Primary Church of God kept the Pentecost.
Acts 2:1

“When the day of Pentecost came, they were altogether in one place.”

Fifthly, the Primary Church of God kept the Feast of Tabernacles.
John 7:2

“But when the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was near … Not until halfway through the Feast did Jesus go up to the temple courts and begin to teach…. On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice,” If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.”

Conclusion
The existentiality of a weed is stronger than a wheat. If we do not root up the weeds, they will prevail at the harvest time. In Matthew 13, Jesus said that it is not until the weeds have to be firstly rooted up at the harvest time. On these last days, the harvest time, churches ‘of weeds’ are now much prevailing. They are not abiding by God’s commandments, but carrying out man-made evil stipulations. No matter how splendid such churches are, they are ‘churches of weeds’ that are to be burned at last. For such a church fails to lead us to everlasting life. Such churches are ‘weeds’. Sooner or later, they will be rooted up and thrown away down to the furnace on the Judgment Day. The Church of God will be wheat gathered into God’s barn in heaven. Although the wheat looks like smaller and weaker than the weed. However, the landlord wants wheat other than weeds. It is the truth that we are to be redeemed though our path of salvation is narrow.
