Welcome to the Makkah of Urdu shairy(poetry). http://my.opera.com/urdushairy/blog/
This group would cover the works of most of the world renowned poets of Urdu language.
To accommodate a larger global audience, the couplets would be in transliterated form followed by a "one liner" translation in English.
For more enthusiastic scholars and keen learners who want to understand it more deeply and experience its full magic - there would be a word to word translation too.
Hopefully this way it would be an enjoyable experience to read poetry of a language that has been used to pen down the imaginations, vision and philosophies by some of the world famous poets like Allama Iqbal, Mirza Ghalib, etc.
Urdu is the tongue of the soul of songs and poetry.
To put it into the words of an academician - "If Taj Mahal is the building of buildings, Urdu is the language of languages"
