Journey to Bangalore - in a brief ...

, , ,

i was there to visit sister & younger brother in my winter vacations. This city is the most hyped IT city of India. It is about 2500 KM down south from my poor village so i was in train for about 36 hrs!! yeah you must be saying "thats nuts" - why not travel with plane, but look at the ticket prices ... uff ..its a matter of an extra digit on the price tag....so for a poor person train is better option(atleast you can discuss about our beloved railway minister Lalu Prasad with the fellow passengers :D ),even the scenery that the train passes through is so jaw-dropping,eye-popping!! especially the dreaded dacoits & bandits infested plateau region of India - Chambal, famously called "chambal ki ghatiyan" .But this journey was one of my best ones as i made an unusual friend - a buddhist monk!!! Well, well this was the most "modern" monk i had ever seen! first he was such a handsome man!(please excuse me girls, monks dont marry :D ).He was in his traditional or may be religious maroon coloured dress wearing stylish dark brown goggles, his ears were busy at a Transcend 4GB mp3 player with songs from "Michal Jackson,Britney,Jennifer....hindi/Urdu songs...punjabi,nepali & Tibeti" !! he was armed with a nice "new Nokia" & he gave me his "email Id" also for future contact! he has even given me the address of his Monastery.
But he was a very kind man, helping every passenger with his luggage.since i am a bit nosy with people of different religion or culture so we discussed about many things,it was really extraordinary to know about his life & so on ... he was a graduate from his monastry in Philosophy of Buddhism! He was a refugee from Tibet but he could speak little Hindi/Urdu also little English. He was in India for the last 18 years! without seeing his parents :frown: .... he gave me his name, mobile no. , address on the reverse side of some sticker ... i was happy! ... but when i flipped it over it was the Tibet flag & on it was written "SAVE TIBET" ... you know from whom .... :frown:
