Birthday Stuffs
Wednesday, 22. July 2009, 13:03:59
Just thought i'd share some of my birthday presents from yesterday cause they are wicked awesome
!
The funky floral Birkenstocks and Earth From Above book are from my Mum, while the hippy bag and Green & Blacks Chocolate which yes i've already eaten some of cause its RAISIN AND HAZELNUT
are from my Sis. My dad got me the camera i took the pictures with (is a Canon Rebel XSi/450D...yes i like relating its official title cause it's a cool-ass camera!
) I always hate opening presents in front of people though, it feels so awkward for some reason. Maybe cause i dont like accepting things, especially expensive things. I'm one of those apparently annoying people that has a tug-of-war over the bill "I'm paying
...no i'm paying
...no i'm paying!
...i'm paying!!
" ....
Also, is funny how in general Dad's seem to always go OTT on gifts, where as Mum's get cute little things and have the uncanny ability to remember something you mentioned liking once in passing conversation 6 months ago! E.g. Earth From Above book. I lurve photography and nature so this book is like a dream to look at for me
. I find it fascinating the almost unbelievable beauty that we never see when its literally right under our noses...
Uranium Mine, Australia
I always thought being a bird would be pretty freakin cool due to the whole flying thing, but if they see things like this every day, i definitely want reincarnation of the feathery kind! Seriously, get the book...it weighs as much as a cement block but it's totally worth the arm strain!
Amazon Rainforest, Brazil
P.S. We go bowling on friday...*puts on competitive bowling glove*...Let the games begin! (Photos of my victory shall follow!)
