Ramblings...

...of a little pixie

I Walked a Red Carpet and Met Famous Peoples!!

, , , , , , ,

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! This post is gonna have ALOTTA picca-tures!! :D

Ok so, a few days ago i randomly entered this New Moon ballot for tickets to the Fan Party in London, where there would be musicians off the soundtrack playing and a Q&A with the cast and director of the film and other such lovelyness . So yes, i entered and then forgot about it figuring i would most definitely not be one of only 2000 people picked. But Sunday i got home from work and checked my mail and :yikes: I won tickets??! I never win ANYTHING! Now i've won something!! *does a little jig* :hat:

Anyhoo, i had two tickets so Paul said he would come with me and endure the screaming hormonal girlies. I am not one of those screaming hormonal girlies by the way (I actually consumed and adored the books before the films...and i don't particularly want Robert Pattinson's lovechild  ( :sst: although he is very attractive!! :D)). I also left puberty a while ago and I don't recall myself screaming when i'm excited...i'm more of a gasper... "*GASP* it's chocolate/a funny dog/something twilight-related"... or i might go "Eeeeee" and flap my hands...:right: actually screaming may look less embarressing...ANYWAY
Back to the story...
So yesterday, we go by train and the venue is in the middle of Battersea Park, which is really lovely actually (considering the weather was miserable)...
I met some animals...a squirrel and some ducks!
We eventually found the queue to pick up the VIP wristbands... Yes i got picture of that too!!
But getting them took sooooooooo long. They had one woman giving out the whole 2000 and i swear we stod in the cold and wet for 2 hooooooours untill i thought my bones were gonna snap. Finally we get to the front, get the wristbands, get through the security stuff and they have it all set up outside like a movie set...it was gorgeous, all trees and mist swirling and a floating paper moon. I was in  with it so much i wanted to just live there all the time!
As we carried on walking down towards the enterance, i see a lot of people screaming and lights and i'm thinking, whats that?? *takes picture*
Then a lady says "Smile on the red carpet"... Pardon?? :eyes: Red carpet??! Then we were on it. :insane: I've never been on a red carpet but it is scary (and very red)! The lights are so bright and there are TV cameras and people screaming and flashes going off! Wah! Was like a film premiere, just...without the film!

So we make it up the carpet alive and get directed to the special  wrist-band only people area inside (warmth, YES!) Inside they have more cool trees and mysterious fog...
And there was basically a stage with fancy lights everywhere, which the cool bands played upon and where the Q&A with the stars would take place...
We then took a picture of ourselves cause everyone else was doing it and we wanted to blend in...
Look how PALE i am! I could be a vampire in the next film!! No make-up required!

When Rob, Kristen, Taylor and Chris all came out the amount of cameras that went up in the air was ridiculous! I've never seen so many cameras or so many people breaking the "cameras prohibited" rule  Their answers were really funny and for once we didn't have to endure any "ROB/TAYLOR WILL YOU MARRY ME/HAVE MY BABY/BITE ME". They were actually interesting and diverse questions.
Anyway after this we decided to leave (and so did everyone else) so there was a slight crush on exiting! :eyes: It was ok though cause i'm well experienced with such things from my school bus days, when we would all crush each other to get on at once...which...actually resulted in no one getting on cause we were all stuck in a big ball of screaming bodies .

Ok back on track again!... After we got out i was a bit nervous about catching the train. I'd booked specific tickets for a specific train as they were dirt cheap (£6 return!! ) but if we missed that train we would not be allowed on another with that ticket nervous ...that make sense? But i really wanted to take some pictures of the bridges over the Thames as they light them up and London actually looks lovely at night
I also took a picture of this Buddist temple/shrine thing cause it was there, it looked good and a gold Buddah was waving at me!
We then had to powerwalk it through the park - Multimap said it would take me 20mins to walk it. 20 mins. How long do you think it took me? 20 mins? NO! :irked: 35 mins! So as we're striding down the road i'm rambling "we're gonna miss it *check watch* we're gonna miss it *check watch* we missed it!"

I get stressed very easily at most things so missing the only train we were allowed to get was like AHHHHH :faint: to me! We were then debating, do we try and get a taxi to Clapham Junction and attempt to beat the train so we can jump on there?? or do we just wait for the next train at 22.40?? although that would mean waiting 1 1/2 hours :frown:! (Imagine me saying all this at 30 miles an hour and slightly hyperventilating :right:)

Paul doesn't get stressed at anything so he's all "Oh it'll be fine" and i'm all like "IT'S NOT FINE!"
When we got to the station we actually winged it to Clapham on another train then had to wait till 21:53 for a train to Lewes. All the while i'm saying, "should we buy a ticket now or should we buy it on the train or should we pretend we only have this one ticket and we lost the other half or should we say we threw the other half away by mistake or what if they fine us for trying to get on with an invalid ticket or-" *Paul slaps me*

After we boarded the train i sat there, closed my eyes and didn't move for the whole hour journey, just thinking of anything except tickets! Turned out the conductor just didn't bother to check anyones tickets. I figured my good luck was winning the tickets, my bad luck was missing the train...then i got a little more good luck with winging it back home with no proper ticket! :D I swear that was the longest train ride ever though! :ko:

Anyway...have i talked enough yet? Nah. I'm so hungry cause we didn't get to eat anything yesterday, therefore i'm gonna be stuffing my face with food today. I already ate some chocolate this morning which made it feel like Christmas! At Christmas eating chocolate at 9am is considered appropriate, but every other day, nope that is not right. Today though, chocolate breakfast was good! I like going off on a ramble don't i  ...

IN CONCLUSION! :D I had much fun, we felt special, we had very good luck, i got cold, my back aches, but i got to walk a red carpet and meet famous people!...and a DUCK!

World's Smallest Banana??Breaking News!

ShallowMuse 12. November 2009, 15:39

How dare you!
Cretin! My rat not good enough now, HUH HUH?!
*stomps off angrily*

Lu 12. November 2009, 15:49

Not only do you insult the rat but you insult the duck by calling it MUTANT?! How rude! Now you shall have nothing!

And YES, you must enter!! *sends good luck vibes* I  Muse!
And YES Rob is as good looking in real life...maybe...better looking?? I'm not sure it's physically possible, but yes...yes better looking i think!! :D

Gavin Sheedy 12. November 2009, 16:41

*Makes himself small*

ShallowMuse 12. November 2009, 18:04

*swoon* (not at Gavin the mutant duck lover, at Rob) p:
i entered tonight so here we go with the positive vibes, if Lucy can, i can! (can-can!)

Hermitess 12. November 2009, 18:23

No Noo! The other guy is way better looking than Robert Pantyson. I don't know his name. *sigh*

That duck is really cool looking.

Gavin what bits weren't good about this post? It was so fun! How could you not have fun? I mean it had everything! Surprise, laughter, drama, love, lust, visual effects, a good story line, a red duck! I felt like I was THERE. :left: ok maybe that was wishful thinking. :D

Lu 12. November 2009, 18:43

Taylor is illegal! Stop looking at him perv!
Rob is a year younger than me - legal and toyboy!

Wow you make my post sound like a movie! Gavin is just jealous of my red duck...his duck-fetish is hard to control.

Gavin Sheedy 12. November 2009, 20:56

The post was great. I was talking about the not so fun experiences; the waiting, the tense train journey. I had such a journey in London myself, because I got lost on the way to the airport. I felt like a criminal who was missing his 'plane.

Of course I'm jealous of the duck!

Thanks, B. Just for that, I'll never picture you naked again p:

endless love 13. November 2009, 11:05

Gavin Sheedy 13. November 2009, 11:06

(Sorry B, that was silly).

Tab 13. November 2009, 11:32

I always found Carlisle to be the sexiest cullen.
I have five children, so I wouldn't want his love child.. But I'm certain he'd have plenty of volunteers for that!

The red duck isn't a new species. It is known as a cinnamon teal. I guess they are more common in North America.

Loved the post, congrats on being MOTW.
Pleasure to meet ya!

ShallowMuse 13. November 2009, 13:43

 Gavin i know you're a silly creep anyhows!

Gavin Sheedy 13. November 2009, 13:51

Oh, well, that's okay then! Thanks! p:

Hermitess 13. November 2009, 14:54

Whups :faint:

:sst: didn't realize we were dealing with underage illegals here. How dare they!!

*sigh* I retract the above statement about whatshisname in order to 1-not be a perv 2- Am married and shant be looking anyhow 3- not be a perv 4- I still cant remember his name

Gavin Sheedy 13. November 2009, 15:01

:frown: Don't wanna be a creep.

Lu 13. November 2009, 19:27

Is there anything in America without cinnamon? Pancakes, cereal, ducks....

Gavin...PVC catsuit...imagining B naked...burkas with naked men...I'm sorry it's too late.

Tab 13. November 2009, 20:21

We North Americans loves us some cinnamon!

Have ya tried it on french toast?

Hermitess 14. November 2009, 00:32

Cinnamon is delicious. :eyes: Look into my eyes... you will love cinnamon :eyes: Put it on everything :eyes: talk about it, dream about it, crave the cinnamon :eyes: Cinnamon gum, toast, tea, candy, candles ... :eyes:

Gavin needs a time out.
:sst: apologize, say pain meds make you crazy or something. Works for the movie stars here

Gavin Sheedy 14. November 2009, 00:58

:zip:

Lu 14. November 2009, 21:33

Oooo i want cinnamon candles!! Although i probably eat them like that chocolate candle that time that no-one talks about..... :right:

Tab 14. November 2009, 21:38

 cinnamon candles do smell heavenly! Now I want one too!
Wow! Chocolate candles..that's just begging for constant cravings!

Gavin Sheedy 14. November 2009, 21:48

You just think that no-one talks about it, your majesty! p:

ShallowMuse 15. November 2009, 05:39

I dont get why people make delicious smelling candles, or soap that looks like cupcakes.. Oh wait, i do. Its just so the people at the factory where they make the "WARNING HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED" labels keep their jobs!
(and after this constant talk of cinnamon and bananas, yesterday i made some french toast with cinnamon and bananas!)

Gavin Sheedy 15. November 2009, 09:47

They make my nose run. Blegh.

Rafael Pangracio Moreira 15. November 2009, 10:27

Beautiful images.

Tab 15. November 2009, 11:41

Sounds good Muse.

Maybe my kidlets would like that for breakfast!

Jeesh..if they're gonna mak delicious smelling candles they should at the very least make em safe to eat, and taste as good as they smell!

Gavin Sheedy 15. November 2009, 11:43

I wonder if brussel sprout candles would be good for you?

ShallowMuse 15. November 2009, 12:33

I wonder who in their right minds would buy brussel sprout candles, GAVIN!
i look at them and i get a rash ! :insane:

Hermitess 15. November 2009, 12:36

Good thought Tab!

Ew Gavin. :eyes: Who wants a candle that smells like brussel sprouts? OH, right. Maybe a vegetarian? p:
*envisions a whole line of vegetable scented candles shaped like vegetables*

I personally don't like food scented candles. It's completely unfair to keep smelling cake or cookies and then not have any. I tend to stick with flower, rain, pine smells.

Gavin Sheedy 15. November 2009, 12:39

Well, I thought that if one had candles, one could avoid eating them :yuck: but ye're right, it would hardly be better.

Tab 15. November 2009, 15:19

Mmm chocolate flavoured low calorie candles...
Doesn't that sound .....

way too good to be true!

Lu 15. November 2009, 21:41

what does rain smell like??
i love brussel sprouts!!! Mmmmm farty. No really, i do like them!

Hermitess 15. November 2009, 21:42

Rain, as in spring rain when it's making the grass and trees all drippy and wet. That smell.

Tab 15. November 2009, 22:52

I have a man and three sons..I don't need brussel sprouts for farty!

Hermitess 15. November 2009, 23:38

Tab you have my sympathy. I have only a man and one farting dog. My nose hairs have been burned completely out. I cannot fathom your situation.

p:

Tab 16. November 2009, 00:31

Thanks..it's good to know someone understands my pain, and my insatiable need to burn incence.

I have a very farty rotweiler and far more polite daxin mix. Must be because she is a female.

Gavin Sheedy 16. November 2009, 03:54

:right::left: I totally fail to understand that conversation...

Hermitess 16. November 2009, 08:03

Gavin you are male THEREFORE you fart/passwind/poot unnecessarily often and with a smell far worse than anything you could possibly have consumed.

Add farting dogs to that, one silent but deadly dog, the other surprisingly loud and equally stinky.

Mix
Turn on fan towards your victim. ew :yuck:

Men.

And you all wonder why we females light so many scented candles.

Lu 16. November 2009, 10:06

Poot?? You crack me up!
Please do a voice blog and say a list of words!

Gavin Sheedy 16. November 2009, 11:26

I'm sure that I wouldn't know how to fart. :queen:

Tab 16. November 2009, 11:33

Or you do like I do..wait till there is someone else in the store and let it go close to them...Ussually I pick a polite looking Asian woman...

She may scowl at me, but everyone else will be scowling at her! Poot scapegoats are grand!

Lu 16. November 2009, 11:57

I'm sorry but i have noooo idea what you are talking about.
I mean, i emmit a rose-like fragrance every so often but that is it. :left:

Tab 16. November 2009, 12:45

You're the stuff air fresheners are made of

ShallowMuse 16. November 2009, 13:27

Lucy dear, denial is the first step to acceptance!

Pinky Phuong 16. November 2009, 14:12

i love Twightlight saga ^^ you're so lucky

Gavin Sheedy 16. November 2009, 18:52

I want me a Lucy freshener!

Wanna see film! Wanna!

ShallowMuse 16. November 2009, 19:02

I saw this on E! Entertainment channel today! and i was like Lucy was there, Lucy was there!
