WARNING! RANT MODE!:
I've always held the notion that alot of humans are disgusting creatures for the way they treat, not only one another, but things that have done nothing to deserve such disgraceful treatment, like nature and animals
Apparently three 'children' (i find myself reluctant to use a word originally meant to describe young innocent beings) beat to death a 10-month old kangaroo, in a zoo
- Oh, and several seagulls, just to polish off a good days worth of violent abuse. As someone who works as a zoo keeper, spending a large portion of my time showing kids how to care for animals, the concept that people stood by and let this happen totally baffles me. I mean i thought that shooting-a-bear-cause-it-acted-wild story was far out...but this...apparently animals aren't even safe in an environment that is meant to provide protection and care! 
I mean, i get pissy if i see kids trying to touch animals i've told them not too - if i ever saw a kid beating an animal under my care...pffffft! 
Value? These animals are not property - they are living, breathing, sentient BEINGS! This isn't vadalism, this is the taking of a life. And COULD be fined?! Their parents should have those violent thugs taken away and placed in a room full of adult kangaroos
- then we'll see who beats who to death 
. Paying a fine teachs them nothing, except that mummy and daddy will sort it out when the shit hits the fan. I'm sick of minors getting away with murder 
. In my eyes, if you are capable of commiting the crime, you are capable of doing the time, whether you be 44 or 14.

Because the children are minors, their parents could be required to pay fines equivalent to the estimated value of the dead animals - 115,000 rubles (£2,650).
