It has been said that "In the beginning, there was the note."

I love music. I suspect everyone does.
I recently realized that I wanted to be able to show a copy of some sheet music I have to a friend ... and I didn't know of a way to do that. It occurred to me that it'd be pretty snazzy if it could be somehow encode in XML. I didn't see how it might be accomplished, but I reasoned that it'd be worth getting that kind of thing to work.
Then I stumbled across MusicXML at this site: here
If you have the patience to walk through a piece of music and encode it in XML, this would work for you. It not only can export the source xml, has printing capabilities, and appears as sheet music on the page, but has an embedded player and a mini-mixer.
Really, the only downside is that it requires a Plug-In to work.
