Latest version 1.7.0:

This extension shortens active tab URL using selected shortening service. Currently supports 5 popular URL shorteners: bit.ly, TinyURL, goo.gl (Google), is.gd and tweek.tk. More to come later. You can also quickly send shortened URL to Twitter or generate QR code to share it with smartphones.

TODO:
  • simplify UI - version 1.5
  • add layer for translation to other languages - work in progress (target v2.0)
  • ability to add custom URL shorteners (API for extension options needed) - work in progress (target v2.0)
  • ability to download new (or delete/update existing ones) URL shortening services without need of uploading new version of ShortenURL
  • WAI-ARIA? - switched to form controls (v1.5)
  • Auto copy to clipboard using Clipboard API introduced in Opera 12.5 - work in progress (target v2.0)

Copy to clipboard is hard to achieve without API from Opera Software.

I plan to workaround this problem with a little help of Java.

I remember, bit.ly main page was doing this with javascript.

They probably used javascript with a little help from Flash. Opera doesn't have API for controlling clipboard contents. It can be "fixed" with plugins like Java or Flash.
I'll investigate both ways but as extensions doesn't have the same security context as ordinary web pages it could be difficult or even impossible.

Extension does not convert _full_ urls (with hashes - http://bla.bla/blabla#blabla). Fix it please.

@Anonymous: adf.ly added - currently you need to manually edit extension background.js to add your login/pass. Please contact me if you need help. In future I'll make it easier to add such a things.

Download the extension, save it on you disk. Change its extension from .oex to .zip and look into archive.

Is there a link wich generates the shortened url? for ex un Chrome i can make the link from right click menu. but i can add lines to my Opera context menu manualy so pleas eif there is send me the link.
and please add an option to if i press the button it automatically copy the shorthened url!
