I *owe* a proper post about Staurday, and when I get chance I will try to.
Right now, suffice to say it was a great day! We skated in the early afternoon, where I made many new friends, people from the Boy's School and Dani's church club thing. (The JCU people are lovelly, it's the principle of it that I'm against...but that's a different story.)
Whilst the skating was great
the train journey back was the highlight of my day. We had to take two trains, one from the rink into the city centre and one from the city to a smaller town nearer where most of us live. the total journey time was about an hour and a half. Which would have been boring, had we not been with interesting people! Since there were so many of us, about 40 in total, we could not sit together on the train and instead split up into smaller groups.
I got seperated from the birthday girls, and instead ended up in a group with some other friends. There were a few girls that I'm in various classes with and a couple boys from the other school. There were'nt any seats so we sat in the corridor section, by the doors, and went hyper, all of us having a great laugh. The journey went too fast!
When we got back to town we tried to go to Pizza Hut for dinner, but they aparently could not make anough food to serve twenty people. (Not everyone went, which was a bit of a drama. But we're a bunch of teenage girls- there are bound to be dramas!) So, instead we went to McDonalds. I'm a bit of a 'health freak', and so, although I don't mind it, I don't eat McDonalds very often. After we'd eaten several people felt ill, so Rob (a guy who I had met before, but only really made friends with on Saturday. He's a very cool guy;)) and I decided to go on 'strike' from McyD's. Only we had to make a couple exceptions to the 'strike'- fries, McFlurries and, at Rob's insistence, the milkshakes.
After McDonalds most people went home. But I really couldn't be bothered to go- staying out was my excuse for not revising! So I stayed in town for a while with a few people. Dani had been quite tired all day, and by this point she was exhausted. Normal people when they get tired just go quiet... But Dani? No, she becomes "stoned", strange really, since she doesn't drink and she mot certainly does not take drugs!
So we were sitting on the steps outside the shopping centre and Dani decided to lie down. Then she started laughing hysterically, and we all went a little hyper again.
