Necessity of Loving Mustafa(sa)(bismillah)

Necessity of Loving Prophet(صلى الله عليه وسلم)


In these present times, some people due to their misunderstanding consider the immense love for our beloved Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) equivalent to shirk. In spite of the fact that lovers of Prophet (Peace be upon him) consider him to be an "Abd (Slave) of Allah" and they have no intentions of comparing the Prophet (Peace be upon him) to Allah azza Wajjal (Naudhobillah), the comparison only comes due to ill thinking of opponents who look for ways just to accuse Muslims of Shirk and Kufr but what they forget is that their false takfir would return back upon themselves rather than it being applicable on the accused.


Let us Analyze this in light of Quran and Hadith


قُلْ إِن كَانَ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْ وَإِخْوَانُكُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ وَعَشِيرَتُكُمْ وَأَمْوَالٌ اقْتَرَفْتُمُوهَا وَتِجَارَةٌ تَخْشَوْنَ كَسَادَهَا وَمَسَاكِنُ تَرْضَوْنَهَا أَحَبَّ إِلَيْكُم مِّنَ اللّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَجِهَادٍ فِي سَبِيلِهِ فَتَرَبَّصُواْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ اللّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ وَاللّهُ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ

Allah says, "Say: 'If it be that your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your mates, or your kindred; the wealth that ye have gained; the commerce in which ye fear a decline: or the dwellings in which ye delight - are dearer to you than Allah, or His Messenger, or the striving in His cause;- then wait until Allah brings about His decision: and Allah guides not the rebellious." (9:24)

This is an Explicit "Nass (definite proof)" in Quran that Allah and his Prophet (Peace be upon him) should be dearer to us than everything in the world i.e. our wealth, children, parents etc... Some people use this verse in regards to Jihad only but they forget that loving Prophet (Peace be upon him) is mentioned before that, hence even Jihad without the love of Allah and his Prophet (Peace be upon him) would "not be" Jihad in cause of Allah, rather it could lead one to hell fire instead.

وَمَن يُطِعِ اللّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَالصَّالِحِينَ وَحَسُنَ أُولَـئِكَ رَفِيقًا

Allah says: "All who obey Allah and the apostle are in the company of those on whom is the Grace of Allah,- of the prophets (who teach), the sincere (lovers of Truth), the witnesses (who testify), and the Righteous (who do good): Ah! what a beautiful fellowship"(4:69)


The Reason Behind Revealing this Honorable Ayah

Hafiz Ibn Kathir: Ibn Jarir recorded that Sa`id bin Jubayr said, "An Ansari man came to the Messenger of Allah while feeling sad. The Prophet said to him, `Why do I see you sad' He said, `O Allah's Prophet! I was contemplating about something.' The Prophet said, `What is it' The Ansari said, `We come to you day and night, looking at your face and sitting by you. Tomorrow, you will be raised with the Prophets, and we will not be able to see you.' The Prophet did not say anything, but later Jibril came down to him with this Ayah,


وَمَن يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ النَّبِيِّينَ

(And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger then they will be in the company of those on whom Allah has bestowed His grace, of the Prophets), and the Prophet sent the good news to the Ansari man.'' This Hadith was narrated in Mursal form from Masruq, `Ikrimah, `Amir Ash-Sha`bi, Qatadah and Ar-Rabi` bin Anas. This is the version with the best chain of narrators. Abu Bakr bin Marduwyah recorded it with a different chain from `A'ishah, who said; "A man came to the Prophet and said to him, `O Messenger of Allah! You are more beloved to me than myself, my family and children. Sometimes, when I am at home, I remember you, and I cannot wait until I come and look at you. When I contemplate about my death and your death, I know that you will be with the Prophets when you enter Paradise. I fear that I might not see you when I enter Paradise.' The Prophet did not answer him until the Ayah,


وَمَن يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَآءِ وَالصَّـلِحِينَ وَحَسُنَ أُولَـئِكَ رَفِيقاً

(And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger, then they will be in the company of those on whom Allah has bestowed His grace, of the Prophets, the true believers, the martyrs, and the righteous. And how excellent these companions are!) was revealed to him.'' This was collected by Al-Hafiz Abu `Abdullah Al-Maqdisi in his book, Sifat Al-Jannah, he then commented, "I do not see problems with this chain.'' And Allah knows best.

Greater news than this is in the authentic Hadith collected in the Sahih and Musnad compilations, in Mutawatir form, narrated by several Companions that the Messenger of Allah was asked about the person who loves a people, but his status is not close to theirs. The Messenger said,


الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَب

(One is with those whom he loves.) Anas commented, "Muslims were never happier than with this Hadith.'' In another narration, Anas said, "I love the Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr and `Umar, and I hope that Allah will resurrect me with them, even though I did not perform actions similar to theirs.'' Allah said,


ذلِكَ الْفَضْلُ مِنَ اللَّهِ

(Such is the bounty from Allah) meaning, from Allah by His mercy, for it is He who made them suitable for this, not their good deeds.


Hadith #1

Narated By Anas : The Prophet said "None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind."

Hadith #2

Narated By Anas : The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith:

1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else.
2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake.
3. Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire."

Hadith #3

Narated By 'Abdullah bin Hisham : We were with the Prophet and he was holding the hand of 'Umar bin Al-Khattab. 'Umar said to Him, "O Allah's Apostle! You are dearer to me than everything except my own self." The Prophet said, "No, by Him in Whose Hand my soul is, (you will not have complete faith) till I am dearer to you than your own self." Then 'Umar said to him, "However, now, by Allah, you are dearer to me than my own self." The Prophet said, "Now, O 'Umar, (now you are a believer)."

Hadith #4

Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab: During the lifetime of the Prophet there was a man called 'Abdullah whose nickname was Donkey, and he used to make Allah's Apostle laugh. The Prophet lashed him because of drinking (alcohol). And one-day he was brought to the Prophet on the same charge and was lashed. On that, a man among the people said, "O Allah, curse him ! How frequently he has been brought (to the Prophet on such a charge)!" The Prophet said, "Do not curse him, for by Allah, I know for he loves Allah and His Apostle."

Hadith #5

Narrated by Hadrat Asma (RA): Revelation was being sent to Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) and his head was on the Lap of Hadrat Ali (ra), and he had not prayed Asr till yet, soon the Sun got set too, The Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) asked: O Ali (ra) have you prayed?, He replied: No, at this the Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) made a plea in the court of Allah: O Lord He (Ali) was busy in Itaat of You and your Messenger (salallaho alaihi wasalam), hence return the Sun back for him , Hadrat Asma (ra) said: I had seen the Sun being set but then I saw it :RISING BACK AGAIN and daylight became visibale on mountains and land, This incident took palce near Khaybar

Reward for loving Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم)


Hadith #6

Narated By Anas : A man asked the Prophet about the Hour (i.e. Day of Judgment) saying, "When will the Hour be?" The Prophet said, "What have you prepared for it?" The man said, "Nothing, except that I love Allah and His Apostle." The Prophet said, "You will be with those whom you love." We had never been so glad as we were on hearing that saying of the Prophet (i.e., "You will be with those whom you love.") Therefore, I love the Prophet, Abu Bakr and 'Umar, and I hope that I will be with them because of my love for them though my deeds are not similar to theirs.

Hadith #7

Safwan ibn Qudama said, "I emigrated to the Prophet and went to him and said, 'Messenger of Allah, give me your hand.' So he gave me his hand. I said, 'Messenger of Allah, I love you.' He said, 'A man is with the one he loves.'"

Hadith #8

Ali said that the Prophet took Hasan and Husayn by the hand and said, "Whoever loves me and loves these two and their father and mother will have the same degree as me on the Day of Rising."

It is related that a man came to the Prophet and said, "Messenger of Allah, I love you more than my family and my possessions. I remember you and I cannot wait until I can come and look at you. I remember that I will die and you will die and I know that when you enter the Garden, you will be raised up with the Prophets. When I enter it, I will not see you." Allah then revealed,

وَمَن يُطِعِ اللّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَالصَّالِحِينَ وَحَسُنَ أُولَـئِكَ رَفِيقًا

"Whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger, will be with those whom Allah has blessed: the Prophets, the men of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And such people are the best of company!" (Quran 4:69) The Prophet called the man and recited the verses to him.

In another hadith we find, "A man was with the Prophet, looking at him without turning away. The Prophet asked, "What is wrong with you?" He replied, "My father and mother be your ransom! I enjoy looking at you. On the Day of Rising, Allah will raise you up because of His high estimation of you!" Allah then sent down the verse mentioned above.

In the hadith of Anas, the Prophet said, "Whoever loves me will be with me in the Garden." al-Isfahani fi al-targeeb kama fi manahil al-safa al-Suyuti Page 182


Sahaba's(R.A) Extreme love for Prophet(صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)during the Prayer


Hadith #9

Narrated Anas: The Prophet did not come out for three days. The people stood for the prayer and Abu Bakr went ahead to lead the prayer.(In the meantime) the Prophet caught hold of the curtain and lifted it.When the face of the Prophet appeared we had never seen a scene more pleasing than the face of the Prophet as it appeared then. The Prophet beckoned to Abu Bakr to lead the people in the prayer and then let the curtain fall. We did not see him (again) till he died.

Hadith #10

Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd As-Sa'idi: Allah's Apostle went to establish peace among Bani 'Amr bin 'Auf. In the meantime the time of prayer was due and the Mu'adh-dhin went to Abu Bakr and said, "Will you lead the prayer, so that I may pronounce the Iqama?" Abu Bakr replied in the affirmative and led the prayer. Allah's Apostle came while the people were still praying and he entered the rows of the praying people till he stood in the (first row). The people clapped their hands. Abu Bakr never glanced sideways in his prayer but when the people continued clapping, Abu Bakr looked and saw Allah's Apostle. Allah's Apostle beckoned him to stay at his place. Abu Bakr raised his hands and thanked Allah for that order of Allah's Apostle and then he retreated till he reached the first rowAllah's Apostle went forward and led the prayer. When Allah's Apostle finished the prayer, he said, "O Abu Bakr! What prevented you from staying when I ordered you to do so?" Abu Bakr replied, "How can Ibn Abi Quhafa (Abu Bakr) dare to lead the prayer in the presence of Allah's Apostle?" Then Allah's Apostle said, "Why did you clap so much? If something happens to anyone during his prayer he should say Subhan Allah. If he says so he will be attended to, for clapping is for women."

Love for the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and yearning for him (صلى الله عليه وسلم)


Hadith #11

Abu Huraira reported so many 'ahadith from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and one among them was that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) is reported to have said: By Him in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad, a day would come to you when you would not be able to see me, and the glimpse of my face would be dearer to one than one's own family, one's property and in fact everything. This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Ishaq with a slight variation of wording.

Hadith #12

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The people most loved by me from amongst my Ummah would be those who would come after me but everyone amongst them would have the keenest desire to catch a glimpse of me even at the cost of his family and wealth.

The hadith of 'Umar, "I love you more than myself," has already been cited. There are similar things from other Companions.

Amr ibn al-As said, "There is no one I love better than the Messenger of Allah."

Abda bint Khalid ibn Ma'dan said, "Khalid never went to bed without remembering how he yearned for the Messenger of Allah and his Companions among the Muhajirun and Ansar, and he would name them. He said, 'They are my root and branch, and my heart longs for them. I have yearned for them a long time. My Lord, hasten my being taken to You!'"

It is related that Abu Bakr said to the Prophet, "By the One who sent you with the truth, I would be happier if Abu Talib (the Prophet's uncle) were to become Muslim than if Abu Quhayfa (his own father) were to. That is because the Islam of Abu Talib would delight you more."

Umar ibn al-Khattab told al-Abbas, "Your becoming a Muslim is dearer to me than al-Khattab becoming a Muslim because it is dearer to the Messenger of Allah."

Ibn Ishaq said that the father, brother and husband of one of the women of the Ansar were killed in the Battle of Uhud fighting for the Messenger of Allah. She asked, "What has happened to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" They said, "He is as well as you would like, praise be to Allah!" She said, "Show him to me so I can look at him." When she saw him, she said, "Every affliction is as nothing now that you are safe."

Ali ibn Abi Talib was asked, "How was your love for the Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "By Allah, we loved him more than our wealth, our sons, our fathers and our mothers, and more than cold water in a time of great thirst."[Ash-Shifa of Qadi Iyad]

Zayd ibn Aslam said, 'Umar went out at night to observe the people and saw a lamp in a house where an old woman was teasing some wool, saying:

"The prayer of the good be upon Muhammad, may the blessed bless him!

I was standing in tears before dawn. If only I knew,when death gives us different forms,

Whether the Abode will join me to my beloved!"

She meant the Prophet. 'Umar sat down in tears.

Hadith #13

It is related that once 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar's foot went numb. He was told, "Remember the most beloved of people to you and it will go away!" He shouted, "O Muhammad!" and the feeling returned.

When Bilal was near death, his wife called out, "O sorrow!" Bilal said, "What joy! I will meet those I love, Muhammad and his party!"

It is related that a woman said to A'isha, "Show me the grave of the Messenger of Allah." She showed it to her and the woman wept until she died.

Hadith #14

When the Makkans drove Zayd ibn ad-Dathima out of the Haram to kill him, Abu Sufyan ibn Harb said to him, "I ask you by Allah, Zayd, don't you wish that Muhammad were with us now to take your place so that we could cut off his head, and you were with your family?" Zayd said, "By Allah, I would not wish Muhammad to be now in a place where even a thorn could hurt him if that was the condition for my being with my family!" Abu Sufyan remarked, "I have not seen any people who love anyone the way the Companions of Muhammad love Muhammad."

Ibn Abbas said, "When a woman came to the Prophet (i.e. from Makka to Madina), he made her take an oath that she had not left because of her husband's wrath or desire for a new land and that she had only left out of love for Allah and His Messenger."

Trees Extreme Love for Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم)

Hadith #15

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ إِلَى لِزْقِ جِذْعٍ وَاتَّخَذُوا لَهُ مِنْبَرًا فَخَطَبَ عَلَيْهِ فَحَنَّ الْجِذْعُ حَنِينَ النَّاقَةِ فَنَزَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَسَّهُ فَسَكَنَ

Sayyidina Anas ibn Maalik reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) used to deliver sermon reclining on the trunk of a palm tree. The sahabah (RA) chose a pulpit for him and he delivered a sermon from it, but the trunk wept like the weeping of a she-camel. So, he descended and stroked it and it ceased to weep.

Hadith #16

Narrated Ibn Umar: The Prophet used to deliver his sermons while standing beside a trunk of a date palm. When he had the pulpit made, he used it instead. The trunk started crying and the Prophet went to it, rubbing his hand over it (to stop its crying). (Book #56, Hadith #783, Sahih Bukhari)


Hadith #17

جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ بِمَ أَعْرِفُ أَنَّكَ نَبِيٌّ قَالَ إِنْ دَعَوْتُ هَذَا الْعِذْقَ مِنْ هَذِهِ النَّخْلَةِ أَتَشْهَدُ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فَدَعَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَعَلَ يَنْزِلُ مِنْ النَّخْلَةِ حَتَّى سَقَطَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ ارْجِعْ فَعَادَ فَأَسْلَمَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ

Sayyidina Ibn Abbas reported that a villager came to Allah’s Messenger (SAW) and asked, “How do I know that you are a Prophet?” He said, “If I summon this bunch from this date tree, asking if it testifies that I am Allah’s Messenger?” So, he summoned it. It come down from the tree, dropped before the Prophet (SAW). Then he commanded it, “Return.” So it returned and the villager submitted in Islam.

Rocks and Trees Welcome Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم)

Hadith #18

كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَكَّةَ فَخَرَجْنَا فِي بَعْضِ نَوَاحِيهَا فَمَا اسْتَقْبَلَهُ جَبَلٌ وَلَا شَجَرٌ إِلَّا وَهُوَ يَقُولُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ

Translation: Sayyidina Ali ibn Abu Talib narrated: I came forth with the Prophet through the surroundings of Makkah. Every rock and tree welcomed him, saying, “Peace be on you, 0 Messenger of Allah.”

Order of Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم)

Hadith #19

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَى أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا أُبَيُّ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَالْتَفَتَ أُبَيٌّ وَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ

وَصَلَّى أُبَيٌّ فَخَفَّفَ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ

مَا مَنَعَكَ يَا أُبَيُّ أَنْ تُجِيبَنِي إِذْ دَعَوْتُكَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ أَفَلَمْ تَجِدْ فِيمَا أَوْحَى اللَّهُ إِلَيَّ أَنْ


Translation: Sayyidina Abu Huraira (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) went to Ubayy ibn Ka’b. He called out. “O Ubbay!” He was engaged in salah and turned but did not answer. He shortened his salah and then went to Allahs Messenger (SAW) and said, “As-salammu alikum, O Messenger of Allah (SAW)”! He said, “Wa alika salaam! What prevented you, O Ubayy, from answering me when I called you”? He said, “O Messenger of Allah (SAW) , I was engaged in salah.” He said, “Have you not observed that which Allah has revealed to me: “Respond to Allah and to His Messenger (SAW) when he (the Messenger) calls you.” (Al-Quran 8:24). He said, “Yes indeed. I will not do it again, Insha Allah.” He asked, “Would you love that I teach you a surah that has not been revealed in the Torah, not in the Injil, not in the Zabur and not in the Qur’an, the like of it.” He answered, “Yes, O Messenger of Allah (SAW). So, he asked, “How do you recite in salah”? He said, “We recite the ummul Qar’an.” So, Allah’s Messeneger said, “By Him in Whose hand is my soul, nothing has been revealed like it in the Turah, the Injil, the Zabur and the Qur’an. It is the sab’am minal mathani and the mighty Qur’an that is given to me.”

يٰأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَرْفَعُوۤاْ أَصْوَاتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ ٱلنَّبِيِّ وَلاَ تَجْهَرُواْ لَهُ بِٱلْقَوْلِ كَجَهْرِ بَعْضِكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ أَن تَحْبَطَ أَعْمَالُكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لاَ تَشْعُرُونَ

The following was revealed regarding those who raised their voices in the presence of the Prophet (s): O you who believe, do not raise your voices — when you [want to] speak — above the voice of the Prophet, when he is speaking, and do not shout words at him, when you [wish to] confide in him, as you shout to one another, but [speak] lower than that, out of reverence for him, lest your works should be invalidated without your being aware, that is to say, for fear of this [happening] as a result of the raising of voices and the shouting mentioned.[49-Al Hujurat:2] http://www.ahlus-sunna.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=113

The Prophet's (Sallallaho alaihe Wasallam) Journey to Taif
For nine years, since his selection by Allah for His mission, the Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) had
been delivering the message of Allah in Mecca and making allL.;it efforts to guide and reform his
community. Excepting a few persons who had either embraced Islam or who helped him though not
accepting his creed, all the rest in Mecca left no stone unturned in persecuting and deriding him and his
followers. His uncle Abu Talib was one of those goodhearted people who helped him, in spite of his not
entering into the fold of Islam.
The following year, on the death of Abu Talib, the Qureysh got a free hand and therefore accelerated their
sinister pursuits without check and hindrance. At Tail, the second biggest town of Hijaz, there lived Banu
Thaqif, a clan strong in number. The Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) left for Taif with the hope of
winning them over to Islam, thus giving quarter to Muslims from the persecution of the Qureysh, and also
establishing a base for -the future propagation of Islam. On reaching Taif he visited the three chieftains of the
clan separately, and placed before each of them the message of Allah, and called upon them to stand by his
Prophet's (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) side. Instead of accepting his message, they refused even to listen to
him and. notwithstanding the proverbial Arab hospitality, each of them treated him most contemptuously and
rudely. They plainly told him that they did not like his stay in their town. The Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe
wasallam) had expected a civil, even a cordial treatment and due courtesy in speech from them, as they were
the heads of the clan. But one of them sneered:
"Hey, Allah has made you a Prophet!"
The other exclaimed with derision:
"Could Allah not lay His hand on anyone else, beside you to make him His Prophet?"
The third one gibed at him:
"I do not want to talk to you, for if you are in fact a Prophet, then to oppose you is to invite trouble, and if
you only pretend to be one, why should I talk with an impostor?"
The Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam), who was a rock of steadfastness and perseverance, did not lose
heart over this check from the chieftains, and tried to approach the common people; but nobody would listen
to him. Instead they asked him to clear off from their own town and go wherever else he liked. When he
realised that further efforts were in vain, he decided to leave the town. But they would not let him depart in
peace, and set the street urchins after him to hiss. to hoot. to jeer at, and to stone him. tie was so much pelted
at with stones that his whole body was covered with blood, and his shoes were clogged to his feet. He left the
town in this woeful plight. When he was far out of the town, and safe from the rabble, he prayed to Allah

"0 my Allah! To Thee I complain of the feebleness of my strength. of my lack of resources and my
being unimportant in the eyes of people. 0, Most Merciful of all those capable of showing mercy! Thou
art the Lord of the weak, and Thou art my own Lord. To whom art Thou to entrust me; to an
unsympathetic foe who would sullenly frown at me, or to an alien to whom Thou hast given control
over my affairs? Not in the least do I care for anything except that I may have Thy protection for
myself. I seek shelter in Your light-the light which illuminates the Heavens and dispels all sorts of
darkness, and which controls all affairs in this world as well as in the Hereafter. May it never be that I
should incur Thy wrath, or that Thou should be displeased with me. I must remove the cause of Thy
displeasure till Thou art pleased. There is no strength nor power but through Thee."
The Heavens were moved by the prayer, and Jibrail (Alayhis salaam) appeared before the Prophet (Sallallaho
alaihe wasallam), greeting him with Assalamu Alaikum and said:
"Allah knows all that has passed between you and these people. He has deputed an angel in charge of the
mountains to be at your command."
Saying this, Jibrail (Alayhis salam) ushered the angel before the Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam). The
angel greeted the Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) and said:
"0, Prophet of Allah! I am at your service, If you wish, I can cause the mountains overlooking this town on
both sides to collide with each other, so that all the people therein would be crushed to death, or you may
suggest any other punishment for them."
The merciful and noble Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) said:
"Even if these people do not accept Islam, I do hope from Allah that there will be persons from among their
progeny who would worship Allah and serve His cause."
Behold the conduct of our noble Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam), whom we profess to follow! W~ get
so much irritated over a little trouble or a mere abuse from somebody that we keep on torturing and taking
our revenge throughout our lives in every possible manner. Does it become people who claim to follow the
magnanimous Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam)? Look, even after so much suffering at the hands of the
Taif mob, he neither curses them nor does he work for any revenge, even when he has the full opportunity to do so.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was the embodiment of love and the peak of affection for all of mankind; from the time of Prophet Adam (pbuh) there has been no one of true faith who has not loved him.

The souls of all the living and non-living are full of affection for him, as stated in the following hadith: “Every being between the heavens and the earth, all but the jinn and the disobedient among mankind, knows that I am Allah’s Messenger.” (Imam Ahmad)

All the Prophets and friends of Prophet Muhammad and Companions of Allah knew him with love and affection; they were more loyal to him than they were to themselves. Those who embraced him with affection were concerned for his every need; they committed their entire lives to Prophet Muhammad and his struggle. Their devotion and affection was frequently displayed and mentioned; in each instance they would say: “You are dearer to us than our mothers and fathers.”


HE MADE THE PEOPLE LOVE HIM…

Prophet Muhammad was so loved by the Companions that it is not possible to understand the true depth of this affection; this love came from divine attachment, and was a manifestation of their affection for Allah, a love for the truth. This abundance love and affection for Prophet Muhammad was from the One Who called him ‘The loved one’, Allah. The affection for the Prophet displayed by a woman who was from the Dinar tribe and who had lost three martyrs, her husband, her father and her brother, in the battle of Uhud was so great! When the Companions went to visit and comfort her, the first thing she asked was: “Is the Messenger of Allah alive?” Then she said: “Show him to me.” When she saw Prophet Muhammad she said: “All praise is to You, Allah...! If I hadn’t seen him alive then nothing could have comforted me...”

Prophet Muhammad has bee recorded in history with the following words uttered by his Companions:


THERE WAS NOBODY MORE LOVED!

The polytheists of Mecca strung Hubaib from the gallows to hang him. Abu Sufyān asked him “To save your own life would you rather your Prophet took your place?” Hubaib, pitying Abu Sufyān, answered without even pausing for thought; with great courage he shouted: “Never! Not only would I not want him to take my place, I would not even want a thorn to prick his holy foot in the city of Medina where is right now!” Hearing this, Abu Sufyān could not help but say: “I have never seen anyone in the world loved so much by his friends as Muhammad!” (Ibn Sa‘d)

The reason why the Companions demonstrated so much affection for the Prophet was that they knew him well and they were able to perceive his great spirituality, thus loving him more than they did any one else. Abu Bakr al-Siddīq was without doubt one of those who knew and loved Prophet Muhammad the most. Whatever the subject, whether it was confidential or public, secret or open, in every matter Abu Bakr al-Siddīq’s answer was:


WHATEVER THE MESSENGER SAYS IS THE TRUTH!

When Prophet Muhammad was about to relate the Mi‘rāj (night journey) to the atheists of the Quraysh he said to Gabriel: “O Gabriel! My nation will not believe me!” And Gabriel, trying to comfort him, said: “Abu Bakr will believe you; he is faithful.” (Ibn Sa‘d)

When the atheists heard about the Mi‘rāj, they immediately called Prophet Muhammad a liar; using this as an excuse they tried to get the believers to reject Islam, even going to Abu Bakr; however, he told them, with great faith and devotion: “Whatever he says is the truth! He wouldn’t lie! Whatever he says I will believe and support...” And the unbelievers said to him: “You accept what he says, but do you really believe that he went to Masjid al-Aqsa and returned?” Abu Bakr replied: “Yes, why are you so surprised? I swear, day or night, whenever a revelation comes to him from Allah, the Prophet tells me and I believe him.”

Then he added: “Isn’t it possible that the One Who communicates with him from the skies could send him to the heavens? You speak such foolishness!” Abu Bakr then went to Prophet Muhammad, who was in the Ka‘ba and he listened to what had happened as reported by the Messenger himself and said: “You tell the truth, O Messenger of Allah!” Prophet Muhammad was so pleased that Abu Bakr believed him that he smiled; it was as if the entire universe was lit up by that smile. He said to Abu Bakr: “You are a faithful one, O Abu Bakr.” (Ibn Hishām)

Abu Bakr dedicated himself and whatever he owned to Prophet Muhammad; the only thing that we can say about Abu Bakr and everything he did is that:


EVERYTHING WAS FOR PROPHET MUHAMMAD
AND ALLAH!

The whole of Abu Bakr’s existence was dedicated to Prophet Muhammad, so much so that even when he was with the Messenger Abu Bakr would yearn for him; every moment he had was spent in the company of the Prophet. In a verse of the Qur’ān he is called the ‘Second of the two’. Prophet Muhammad was on Abu Bakr’s mind and heart at all times. Everything he owned was at the command of the Messenger to such an extent that one day Prophet Muhammad said: “The most generous of my people with his Companionship and wealth is Abu Bakr.”

Hearing this Abu Bakr burst into tears and said: “Are not I and everything I own for you alone O Messenger of Allah?”

Abu Bakr had learned:

TO CHOOSE ALLAH!

Prophet Muhammad taught his followers to choose Allah; he himself was the greatest example of this and those who knew him followed in the Prophet’s footsteps. During his final illness Prophet Muhammad could not join the community, so he asked Abu Bakr to lead the prayer on his behalf. When he felt a little stronger he went to the mosque and advised the Companions: “O People! Allah gave a choice to one of His worshippers to choose this world or what is with Him in the Hereafter. He chose the latter.” The sensitive and delicate heart of Abu Bakr realized what the Messenger was saying, but he was so saddened by this farewell speech of Prophet Muhammad that he burst into tears, saying: “You are dearer to us than our mothers and fathers, O Messenger! We would sacrifice our mothers, our fathers, our wealth and our children for you!”

Abu Bakr was so faithful and devoted to the Messenger of Allah that he could understand him; the reason for Abu Bakr’s affection for and knowledge of the faith was Prophet Muhammad and Abu Bakr clearly implied with every action that:


MIRACLES ARE NOT NECESSARY FOR THOSE
WHO KNOW HIM!

The miracles of all the Prophets were confirmed by Prophet Muhammad with the revelations of the holy Qur’an; the example of his character was such a miracle for the community, containing such knowledge and wisdom, that no other miracle was necessary. Prophet Muhammad was the source of faith for many, including Abu Bakr. This is how Mawlana explained this miracle of truth: “When Abu Bakr attained the spiritual presence of the Messenger he said: ‘This face is not the face of a liar; it is a holy face that gives revelation from Allah’ and his heart was filled with affection and faith. The faithful one of Allah did not require miracles and said: ‘This blessed person would not say anything that was not the truth’ and he ran towards the path of Allah. But, because Abu Jahl refused to try to find the truth he did not accept the faith, even though he witnessed hundreds of miracles, like the moon splitting into two.”

The hearts of those who thought like Abu Jahl were blind due to the weakness of their egos and they were the slaves of the devil. Even though they said “You are truthful, you are a faithful one” they did not accept the truth or the glory of the straight path. This and their ill treatment of Prophet Muhammad are the reasons why they are among the grief stricken.

All this shows that only those who see Prophet Muhammad as Abu Bakr did know that:


HIS DIVINE LIGHT IS CLEARER THAN THE SUN…

In a report by Suleyman Chalabi it is stated: “Prophet Muhammad was such a divine light of admiration that even the sun used to follow him everywhere…” Prophet Muhammad is the light and the dearest of those from the past and the eternal; he is the divine light that shines on the two universes. Prophet Muhammad was so great that he cannot be compared to the sun or to the moon; his was a light of beauty that surpasses description. It is mentioned in the Qur’ān as a ‘Lamp that spreads light.’

Mawlana describes the light of Prophet Muhammad in the following way: “That gleaming light is reflected into all of our hearts. It shines on the souls; the knowledge of Adam and the other Prophets were attained with this light. This light was reflected onto Adam, it was held by Seth. Adam saw the light of Seth and made him a Caliph. Nūh (pbuh) received the light and poured the pearls into the ocean of life. Ibrāhīm (pbuh) threw himself into the flames of the oppressor with the manifestation of this light on his soul. When Ishmael fell into this river of light he was overwhelmed that he willingly laid down his head for his father. The soul of Dāwūd (pbuh) was warmed by the rays of this light and became so hot that iron melted in his hand like a candle. Sulaymān (pbuh) took the generosity of the light like a baby sucking milk, and the giants were at his beck and call. Ya‘qūb (pbuh) accepted and bowed his head to the incident of the divine light, but the separation from his beloved Yūsuf (pbuh) grieved him and the scent of Yūsuf’s shirt lit up his eyes. The bright-faced Yūsuf saw the light of the sun of Muhammad and his understanding of dreams deepened. He became greatly aware. The staff was held by Mūsā; it was from this that he drank the Divine light; it swallowed up the Pharaoh and his kingdom.

‘Isa found the stairs of faith and quickly reached the upper levels above the skies with the divine light. When Muhammad found his own divine light in this universe of mortality, he glimpsed the world of pure ones, just for a moment, and with this glimpse he split the moon in two. When Abu Bakr saw the divine light of the Prophet Muhammad he became the faithful, devoted and inseparable companion of that master of Prophets. When ‘Umar fell in love with the source of divine light, the beloved beyond comparison, he chose between the truth and falsehood and became “he who distinguishes the truth from falsehood. ‘Uthmān was one with a heart of purity and clear thoughts and he attained a light of such prosperity that he was granted two very special lights. Prophet Muhammad called him the owner of two lights.

‘Alī scattered pearls with the means of this divine light, and became the lion of Allah in the valley of life and the universe of meaning. That great holy man Junayd Baghdādī gained help from the soldiers of that light and their ranks of spirituality increased immensely, they were innumerable. Bayāzīd Bistāmī saw the true path with the gleam of that light clearly, and because of this they called him the ‘Happy one of the wise men’. Ma‘rūf Karakhī was a guard in the home of that divine light, he was the assistant of the affectionate and lived and breathed with the divine one. When Ibrāhīm bin Adham rode the horse towards the light and turned towards that light for the rest of his life he became the Sultan of all Sultans. With the desire to find the light, Shakīk Balkhī set out on a difficult journey and endured many hardships; due to such difficulties his thoughts were as bright as the sun and his understanding was intense.

There are hundreds of thousands more sultans of mystery, many more who have reached the universe of light and the high ranks of spirituality due to that light of divinity.

If I were to call this great light of eternity the life of the ocean or the ocean of life this would not be worthy of Prophet Muhammad; we will have to search for something else to call him.

Prophet Muhammad is such a great light of authority that all the words we use while trying to describe him are insufficient. All the souls, their spirit, essence and significance are just the surface when compared to him.”

In order to benefit from Prophet Muhammad’s spirituality and divine light we need to learn about him and his life. Living according to the regulations and purity of Islam is the only way we can embrace the behavior of Prophet Muhammad; this condition, which is set out for all believers, is called:


LIVING WITH
THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH

Being overwhelmed and losing oneself in an ocean of affection for Prophet Muhammad...

The sign of this is the reflection of the Qur’ān and Sunnah in every aspect of our lives; this is important because one who is unable to achieve living with the Messenger can never attain living with Allah. The essence of this order is to love Prophet Muhammad more than anyone else and to be devoted to him with great affection. Abdullah bin Hishām explained: “We were with the Messenger of Allah; he took hold of ‘Umar’s hand and ‘Umar said to him: “O Messenger of Allah! You are dearer to me than everything but myself.” Prophet Muhammad turned to ‘Umar and said : “No, by He who holds my soul in His hand, (you will never have complete faith) until I am dearer to you than your own self.” ‘Umar immediately answered: “In that case, you are even dearer to me than myself.” Prophet Muhammad replied: “Now, ‘Umar you are a true believer.” (Bukhārī)

In another hadith, Prophet Muhammad said: “By He Who holds my life in His hand, none of you will have faith until you loves me more than your father and your children.” (Bukhārī) This is the reality and condition of true faith. All the fortunate ones of mankind have reached their positions among the gleaming stars of humanity because they lived according to these conditions. Thus, we must also know, love and follow the path of the Messenger of Allah, the path which the people of greatness chose.

And we must never forget:


LOVE AND RESPECT FOR PROPHET MUHAMMAD
IS A MUST

Those exalted by his love and respect are the true ones of compassion; this is the most distinct characteristic of the Companions and the great ones in Islam who followed their path. There are numerous examples, here are just a few of them:
Imam Abū Hanīfa, who had been to hajj many times, would go to the grave of Prophet Muhammad with great respect and politeness; entering the garden, he would bow his head to gain the permission of Prophet Muhammad.

Out of respect Imam Mālik would maintain his ablutions within the boundaries of Medina.

The great scholar Imam Nawawī was so devoted to Prophet Muhammad that, since he never found a hadith about the Prophet eating watermelon, he refused to eat it.

The great wise man Sayyid Ahmad Yasawī, who spread the message and the light of Islam from the Middle East to the Balkans, had a headstone engraved when he was sixty-three years old, saying: “After reaching this age I no longer need to live on this earth!” As a result of being so devoted to Prophet Muhammad and spending his life in worship and guidance Yasawī carried on this devotion to the grave.

The souls of the wise ones that were created with such affection attained the manners of Prophet Muhammad in a magnificent way because they were devout and sincere with a love full of wisdom.


THOSE WHO LOVE HIM ARE A REFLECTION OF MUHAMMAD

When we think of the love and reflection of the Prophet, one of the people who comes to mind from the latest period of the Companions of Allah is Sami Efendi. His adoration and actions were very much like those of Prophet Muhammad. This blessed person lived his life like Prophet Muhammad in every way and acted as a guide and example to the community.

The innumerable examples of his excellent ways and behavior are so much like that of the Prophet of the Universe; his affection for Prophet Muhammad was so deeply embedded and he was so careful to be an example to others in every detail. While he was buying a train ticket he would get the fare ready before he went so he would not waste the time of those who were waiting in the queue; he visited the people who were dear to him even if they never returned his visit; this was a manner of great honor.

Sami Efendi was a great lover of Medina and it was a divine blessing that he passed away in the city of Medina and was buried there. Whoever saw him and Musa Efendi, another Companions of Allah, whom Sami Efendi had taught, would say:


THEY HAVE FACES LIKE ANGELS:

We were on our way back to Bursa with Sami Efendi and Musa Efendi, we were about to join the queue to get on the ferry to Yalova when the steward responsible for keeping cars in order came to show us the way. He noticed Sami Efendi and Musa Efendi, who were sitting in the rear of the car. He stopped in astonishment and came nearer the car, looking carefully through the window; he sighed deeply, and said: “Allah, Allah, what a funny world! Some faces are like angels... And some are faces of cruelty!”

Truly the faces of those who are a reflection of the life of Prophet Muhammad are like the faces of angels.

Like Sami Efendi, Musa Efendi was also a great Companion who was overwhelmed by affection for and the light of Prophet Muhammad; his heart would flutter when he heard the name of the city of Medina or that of Prophet Muhammad. The interest he showed in the people of Medina and his generosity was great. He was an example for those in Ravza when he made the charity of giving food during the month of Ramadan a custom, with a cleanliness, order and harmony as it should be in the presence of Prophet Muhammad.

Musa Efendi was like Abu Bakr when it came to generosity and spending his wealth in the path of Allah. In his sermons he would make a point of purifying the ego, advising everyone to give as little as possible to their own desires while giving plenty to charity. Our duty is to pray for these great people and to gain from their ways of goodness and beauty because they are the affection and love of Muhammad and:


THEY ARE THE GREATEST EXAMPLES...

In every aspect of their lives the Companions of the Messenger of Allah and the great Companions of Allah and those who love Prophet Muhammad in later times are the best examples to us all.

The Companions of Allah attained the lofty character of Prophet Muhammad and are a reflection of his purity and spirituality for everyone; they loved Prophet Muhammad with the best of faith, devotion and affection and they submitted their souls in the most beautiful way.

In brief, all the Companions after Abu Bakr, the great ones of Islam, are reflections of the beautiful manner and personality of Prophet Muhammad.

May Allah Almighty give us all enlightenment and show us the true path with the affection and manner, the eternal light, compassion, and abundance of His Messenger!

O Allah, as you turned those days of darkness and ignorance into the period of happiness, with the prosperity of the Honoured One of the Universe, turn these days of modern ignorance into times of goodness.

from above we say Worshipping is only for Allah.And love is for our prophet and Allah.Shejdah is only for Allah.Love is for our prophet and Allah and we must follow our prophet.Muhammad(sa) was not the son of Allah but he was a creation of Allah.Allah loves him.and if we love him and follow his guidance inshallah we will also receive Allah's Love.

Masjid e Shams (Sun) is not actually a Masjid but its a name given to the Place where
Our Beloved Prophet s.a.w. brought back the setting sun for the Asar prayers
Of Hazrat Ali r.d.a.

The Saudi Government did not construct a masjid here but to
safeguard the area created a boundary of four walls around this area.
It once happened that Our Beloved Prophet s.a.w. was lying on the Lap
of Hazrat Ali in this Area and he fell asleep. The Time was of ASAR and Hazrat Ali
was seeing the Sun setting in front of his eyes. Hazrat Ali r.d.a. always prayed his prayers on time and this was the first time that he was going to Miss his prayers.

But he dint have the courage to wake the Beloved Prophet s.a.w. but his eyes became wet and he started Crying...bcoz of which his tears fell on the Blessed Cheeks of Rasool Allah s.a.w. and he got up.

On Seeing Hazrat Ali r.d.a. cry RasoolAllah s.a.w. asked what happed why are you crying to this Hazrat Ali r.d.a. answerd that the Sun has Set and his Asar Prayers have become KAZAA. First time in his life he missed his Asar Prayers on time.

To this OUR BELOVED PROPHET s.a.w. said Do you want read QAZAA aur ADAA.

So Our Beloved Prophet s.a.w. raised his Blessed fingers and pointed it towards the SUN and the SUN started following the Fingers of our Beloved Prohpet s.a.w.

And the Sun which had just now SET was out again and the time for ASAR had come back once again on the signal of our Beloved Prophet s.a.w. and Hazrat Ali r.d.a. prayed his ASAR on time once again.

Hamzah the brave, uncle of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.)

There have been a number of brave and self-sacrificing officers and strong and powerful champions in the army of Islam but the bravery of Hamzah bin Abdul Muttalib is recorded in the pages of history and in fact constitutes the golden leaves of the history of the battles of Islam.

Muhammed Mustafa, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his Ahlel-Bayt), though safe under the protection of his uncle, Abu Talib, was not immune from harassment by the infidels. Whenever they found an opportunity for baiting him, they didn't miss it. On one occasion, Abu Jahl found him alone, and used much offensive and vulgar language toward him. That same evening when his uncle, Hamzah bin Abdul Muttalib, came home from a hunting expedition, his slave-girl recounted to him the tale of Abu Jahl's gratuitous insolence toward him (Muhammed), and the latter's forbearance, of which she had been an eye-witness.

Hamzah was a warrior, a hunter and a sportsman, and was little interested in the day-to-day affairs of the city. But Abu Jahl's conduct toward his nephew so roused his anger that he seized his bow, went into the assembly of the Quraysh where he (Abu Jahl) was reviewing the events of the day to his compeers, struck him at his head with his bow, causing it to bleed, and shouted: "I too have become a Muslim."

This was a challenge to Abu Jahl but he figured that silence was the best part of valor, and did not tangle with Hamzah, even restraining his friends who wished to rise in his defense.

Hamzah, the uncle of the Prophet of Islam, was one of the bravest men of Arabia and a well-known officer of Islam. It was he, who insisted earnestly that the army of Islam should go out of Madina and fight against Quraysh. It was Hamzah, who protected the Prophet in Makkah during the delicate moments with all his might. Hamzah accepted Islam in the fifth year of the Proclamation. May God be pleased with him, and bless him.

He was the same senior and valiant officer who killed the brave champion of Quraysh Shaybah and others and also wounded a group of the enemies in the Battle of Badr - the first battle of Islam. He had no object in mind except to defend truth and virtue and to maintain freedom in the lives of human beings.

Hamzah had killed Utbah, the father of Hinda, in the battle of Badr. In the battle of Uhud, she slaked her thirst for vengeance which had given her no rest since the battle of Badr.

Hinda, the wife of Abu Sufyan and the mother of Muawiya, nursed a grudge against Hamzah and was determined to take her father's revenge on the Muslims at any cost.

Wahshi, an Ethiopian warrior, was the slave of Jabir Mut'am and an uncle of Jibir had also been killed in the Battle of Badr. He (Wahshi) had been appointed by Hinda to help achieve her object by hook or by crook. She asked him to kill one of the three persons (viz. the Prophet, Imam Ali or Hamzah) so that she might avenge her father's death. The Ethiopian warrior said in reply: "I cannot approach Muhammad at all, because his companions are nearer to him than anyone else. Ali too is extraordinarily vigilant in the battlefield. However, Hamzah is so furious that, while fighting, he does not pay any attention to any other side and it is possible that I may be able to make him fall by some trick or by taking him unawares". Hinda was contented with this and promised that if he was successful in performing the job she would set him free. Some believe that Jibir made this promise with his slave (Wahshi) as his (Jibir's) uncle had been killed in the Battle of Badr.

Wahshi, the slave, says: "On the Day of Uhud I was pursuing Hamzah. He was attacking the centre of the army like a ferocious lion. He killed every one whom he could approach. I hid myself behind the trees and stones, so that he could not see me. He was too busy in fighting. I came out of ambush. Being an Ethiopian, I used to throw my weapon like them (i.e. like the Ethiopians) and it seldom missed the target. I, therefore, threw my javelin towards him from a specific distance after moving it in a particular manner. The weapon fell on his flank and came out from between his two legs. He wanted to attack me but severe pain prevented him from doing so. He remained in the same condition till his soul departed from his body. Then I approached him very carefully and having taken out my weapon from his body returned to the army of Quraysh and waited for my freedom.

In the battle of Uhud the Muslims were defeated. After their rout, Hinda and the other harpies she had brought with her from Makka, mutilated the bodies of the slain Muslims. Hinda cut open Hamzah's abdomen, plucked out his liver and chewed it up. Muhammad ibn Umar Waqidi, the historian, says that she made a fire in the battlefield, roasted Hamzah's heart and liver and ate them. Not satisfied with this, she cut the limbs, the ears and the nose of Hamzah, strung them into a "necklace," and entered Makka wearing it as a "trophy" of victory.

Muhammed Mustafa, the Apostle of God, was deeply aggrieved at the death and at the mutilation of the body of such a stalwart of Islam as Hamzah. He bestowed upon him the titles of the "Lion of God," and the "Chief of the Martyrs."

After the Battle of Uhud, I continued to live in Makkah for quite a long time until the Muslims conquered Makkah. I then ran away to Ta'if, but soon Islam reach that area as well. I heard that however grave the crime of a person might be, the Prophet forgave him. I, therefore, reached the Prophet with Shahadatayn on my lips (i.e., I testify that there is no god but Allah and I also testify that Muhammad is His Prophet). The Prophet saw me and said "Are you the same Wahshi, an Ethiopian?" I replied in the affirmative. Thereupon he said: "How did you kill Hamzah?" I gave an account of the matter. The Prophet was moved and said: "I should not see your face until you are alive, because the heart-rending calamity fell upon my uncle at your hands".

It was the same great spirit of the Prophet of Islam which made him set this man free although he could execute him on many grounds.

Wahshi says: "So long as the Prophet was alive I kept myself hidden from him. After his death the battle with Musaylimah Kazzab took place. I joined the army of Islam and used the same weapon against Musaylimah and succeeded in killing him with the help of one of the Ansar. If I killed the best of men (i.e. Hamzah) with this weapon, the worst man, too, did not escape its horror".

The participation of Wahshi in the battle against Musaylimah is something which he himself claims, but lbn Hisham says: "During the last days of his life Wahshi was like a black crow who was always hated by Muslims on account of his being a drunkard and was punished twice on account of drinking wine. On account of his indecent actions his name was struck off the army records and Umar bin Khattab used to say: "The murderer of Hamzah does not deserve to be pardoned in the other world."

THE COMPANIONS OF OUR BELOVED
PROPHET MUHAMMAD
(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)

The Companions of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) are known as sahabas. Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said the sahabas are like stars. Anybody who follows them will get guidance. The main companions of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) were Sayyidina Abu Bakr Siddiq (Rady Allahu Anhu.), Sayyidina Umar (Rady Allahu Anhu), Sayyidina Uthman (Rady Allahu Anhu) and Sayyidina Ali (Rady Allahu Anhu). They became his Khalifas.

Sayyidina Abu Bakr Siddiq (Rady Allahu Anhu) was the Prophet’s favourite companion.. He was the closest companion of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). He was the very first Khalifa. He received the title “Siddiq” meaning truthful. He was the first person to accept Islam. He had a daughter called Aisha (Rady Allahu Anha), who married the Prophet. Hadrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (Rady Allahu Anhu) is laid to rest beside Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) in Madina. He fought in many battles with Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) against those who persecuted them.

Sayyidina Abu Bakr Siddiq (Rady Allahu Anhu.) did many good deeds. One night when the stars were up in the sky. Bibi Aisha asked Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) who has done more good deeds than all the stars above? Then Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said that Hadrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (Rady Allahu Anhu) has done more good deeds than all those stars above.

Sayyidina Umar (Rady Allahu Anhu) was the second Khalifa after Hadrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (Rady Allahu Anhu) passed away. He was Khalifa for 10 years. During his time as a Khalifa, Islam spread far and wide. Some people say that if he were Khalifa for another 10 years Islam would have spread all around the world. Hadrat Umar’s daughter Hafsa (Rady Allahu Anha) was Prophet Muhammad’s wife. Shaitaan was so scared of Hadrat Umar (Rady Allahu Anhu) that there is a Hadith where the Prophet said, “If Hadrat Umar (Rady Allahu Anhu) is walking on a street and Shaitaan approaches him, Shaitaan will run away and take another street”. He was very brave. Sayyidina Umar (Rady Allahu Anhu) received the title “Farooq” which means the one who distinguishes truth from falsehood. He took part in all the battles with the Prophet including the battle of Badr.

At first, he was not a Muslim. When the Prophet was spreading Islam to the people he was not happy and decided to kill the Prophet. One day Hadrat Umar (Rady Allahu Anhu) took his sword and went to kill the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). On his way a man told him that his sister and her husband had become Muslims. When Hadrat Umar (Rady Allahu Anhu) heard this, he got really angry and started going to his sister’s house. Then when he went to his sister’s house he heard the surah Taha being recited. So he hit his sister who started bleeding and he felt sorry for her and told her to continue reading. When he heard the recitation of the Qur’an he was convinced it was a revelation from Allah. Then he went to Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and became a Muslim .He was the fortieth person to become a Muslim. Hadrat Umar (Rady Allahu Anhu) is buried besides the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) in Madina.

Sayyidina Uthman (Rady Allahu Anhu) was the third Khalifa after Hadrat Umar (Rady Allahu Anhu). He was Khalifa for 12 years. He was the ambassador of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). He received the title “Ghani” meaning rich. He was given that title because he gave a lot of his wealth for Islam. He brought camels loaded with goods for the war effort. He took part in many battles with the Prophet. He was also given the title Dhun Nurain meaning possessor of two lights because he married two daughters of the beloved Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), one after another, that is, Bibi Ruqayyah (Rady Allahu Anha) and after she passed away ,Umm Kulthum (Rady Allahu Anha). He is one of the Asharatul Mubashara meaning one of the ten who were promised Paradise by the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). He belonged to the tribe of Quraish. He did hijrah two times, first to Abyssinia, then to Madina.

The Qur’an was compiled on the instructions of Hadrat Uthman (Rady Allahu Anhu) by the companions of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.), just as it was recited in the time of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). After the Qur’an was compiled together Hadrat Uthman (Rady Allahu Anhu) made many copies of the Qur’an and distributed it to major cities. Therefore he is known as ” Jami ul Qur’an”.

One day when Hadrat Uthman (Rady Allahu Anhu) was reciting the Qur’an in his house, traitors came from behind and killed him. His blood is on the page of the Qur’an he was reciting. He was a shaheed. He died at the age of 81. He is buried in Jannat ul Baqi.

Sayyidina Ali received the title Asadullah meaning Lion of Allah. Hadrat Ali was the cousin of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). Hadrat Ali was born in the Ka’ba. His father was Abu Talib. He is one of the Asharatul Mubashara. When he first opened his eyes he saw Prophet Muhammad. He was raised up by Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). He slept in the bed of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) when the Prophet went on hijra. He is called the gate of knowledge. He was a Hafiz ul Qur’an. He is one of the first people to accept Islam. He was also the first youth to accept Islam. Hadrat Ali married Bibi Fatima. He had two children, Sayyidina Imam Hasan and Sayyidina Imam Husain. He fought in many battles with Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) including the battle of Badr. He killed the best warrior of the enemies in a man to man combat. He took part in man to man battles.

Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) loved Hadrat Ali because he was a very charitable person. Once when Imam Hasan (Rady Allahu Anhu) and Imam Husain (Rady Allahu Anhu) were ill, Hadrat Ali and Bibi Fatima made a vow that, after their two sons recover, they will fast for three days. Allah Ta’ala then blessed their children with good health. So now Hadrat Ali and Bibi Fatima had to fast. When their fast was completed and Hadrat Ali (Rady Allahu Anhu) came back from the Masjid after performing Magrib Salat, the family sat down for dinner. As soon as Hadrat Ali Rady Allahu Anhu picked up the bread in his hand he heard a voice of a beggar saying “Give me some thing to eat and may Allah Ta’laa feed you with delicious food of Jannah!” When they heard the beggar they decided that they should give him the bread.

On the second fast, when Hadrat Ali (Rady Allahu Anhu) came back from the Masjid after praying the Magrib salah, the family sat down for dinner, when they heard a voice of an orphan from outside who asked for food and said that he was very poor and alone in the world. So again they gave him the bread and broke their fast with water.

On their last fast, when Hadrat Ali came back from the Masjid after performing Magrib Salah the family sat down for dinner, they heard a voice of a prisoner, who asked for help and said that he was in great distress. So they gave him the bread and again they went to bed without any food.

On the fourth day no one was fasting, but they had nothing to eat. So Hadrat Ali (Rady Allahu Anhu) then took Imam Hasan (Rady Allahu Anhu) and Imam Husain (Rady Allahu Anhu) to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “It pains me to see you suffering from want and misery. Let us go to Fatima (Rady Allahu Anha)”. When Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) went to Bibi Fatima (Rady Allahu Anha) and saw that she was observing Nafl salaat. Her eyes had sunk in, and her stomach had drawn close to her back, from excessive starvation. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) took her to his bosom and invoked Allah’s mercy for her and her family.

At this, Jibreel (Alayhissalam) came with revelation of the verses of the Qur’an. The meaning of the verse of the Qur’an is
“And they give food out of love for Him to the poor and the orphan and the captive.” (76:8)

Jibreel (Alayhissalam) then congratulated them saying Allah Ta`ala was very pleased with them. And that’s how much charitable Sayyidina Ali (Rady Allahu Anhu) and Bibi Fatima (Rady Allahu Anha) were.

Hadrat Bilal (Rady Allahu Anhu) was a Sahabi who loved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). He was the first muezzin in Islam. He had the most beautiful voice. He always read two rakah after he made wudu. This is called “Sunnah tul Wudu” When he was a slave, he was beaten up, dragged in the burning sand and had heavy stones put on his chest to force him to say that he is not a Muslim but he always said,”Ahad, Ahad,” meaning, ‘one, one’ (Allah is one). He loved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) so much that after the Prophet passed away, he was so sad that he didn’t feel like giving the Adhan in Madina. Then after a long time he agreed to give the Adhan. But when he got to “Ash’hadu-anna Muhammadar-Rasullullah”, he started to mourn. Hadrat Bilal (Rady Allahu Anhu) set an example for all Muslims to never give up Islam. He is buried is Damascus, Syria.

Another famous companion of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) was Hadrat Abu Hurairah who narrated the most ahadith from all the companions.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) had thousands of companions.

When he performed his farewell pilgrimage, he had 124, 000 of his companions with him. May Allah Ta`ala make us follow in the footsteps of our beloved Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and of his blessed companions, Rady Allahu Anhum.

Love and Follow Muhammad
(SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam)

If you ask me, why do I love him, the
Prophet Muhammad (May Peace be upon him) -
I love him because he cared about us
Muslims, and loving him is a condition –

If you love Allah, then love the Prophet
Muhammad – Allah loved him very much.
He was Allah's Final Messenger, and
The hearts of many did his mercy touch.

His beautiful character makes me admire
Him – his trustworthiness and honesty –
Even before he became God's Prophet,
Disbelievers knew that he was trustworthy.

I love the Prophet Muhammad because
Of good manners he was the best example.
I love how he was patient throughout his life
And how his morals were never skeptical.

He cared about his nation too, thus he taught
Us what we should know about our religion.
When given the chance he'd always educate,
Blessing us with advice through his companions.

As a father and grandfather, the Prophet
Muhammad was kind and tender loving.
His mercy to the poor, widows and orphans –
His good treatment of them is too astounding.

His tolerance, even to non-Muslim
Neighbors, is also something to be admired.
His mercy too was further manifest
Through his kind treatment of the slaves he hired.

As a leader – he was charismatic,
As a warrior – marked with strength and bravery,
As a family man – full of mercy,
And a husband who treated his wives fairly –

As a friend – he was accommodating –
Full of cheer, he brought smiles to people's faces –
Respectful to the old, and kind towards the young –
Mercy was the Prophet Muhammad's basis.

I love how he was merciful – and because
Of his mercy, he always tried to guide.
I love how he struggled to obey Allah,
And how he remained patient all through his life.

I love how he was able to do so much –
So many good deeds, despite his simple life –
How he could survive on mere dates and water,
And yet stand for long hours when praying at night.

I love how he was so thankful to Allah –
How he was always ready to sacrifice.
I love how his character was dignified –
How he was strong and gentle at the same time.

I love the patience of Prophet Muhammad –
In worshipping Allah, in fasting, and praying –
His patience in helping Muslims, and in hard times,
And how he was merciful and forgiving.

Because of my love for Prophet Muhammad,
I try to follow him – and say "you should too" –
If you truly love Allah, then love Muhammad –
Let your following him make your love more true.

O' Allah, help us obey you, and help us
Follow Muhammad – in this world and to Heaven –
Grant us his companionship in Paradise,
And freedom to drink from his blessed fountain.
Ameen.

Who was bleed in Taif for us, remained hungry for us, cried at nights for us and even at the time of death prayed for us…!

Because of whom women went as wife completing the half of the religion of her husband, as daughter leading her father to be with the Prophet (s.a.w) in paradise and as mother making paradise under her own feet…!

Should I not love The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w)?
Because of whose miracles the moon was split 1400 years ago without any technology, even the dead animals and the plants witnessed him the True Prophet (s.a.w)…!

Should I not love The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w)?
Who himself went to meraj once but made it five times a day for us…!

Should I not love The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w)?
Because of whose ways of business I get 10 when I spend 1 in the name of Almighty Allah and save 70 for the Day of Judgment…!

Should I not love The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w)?
In whose love Imam Hussain (R.A) sacrificed himself and his family…!

Should I not love The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w)?
When in the Day of Judgment every other prophet will be uttering ‘nafsi…nafsi’…he will be uttering ‘umati…umati’……!

Should I not love The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w)?
Because of whom we are in sha Allah going to enter heaven…!
