POEM OF THE DAY,001

, ,

I MISS YOU... IT'S FATE

I feel like I could write forever,
When it comes to writing to you.
But there are only so many things I could say,
Though every word I write is true.

Like how much you mean to me,
How I wish you are always alright,
How much I miss you everyday,
How I never wanted you out of my sight.

You had to go. You'll be back soon.
I tell myself this all the time.
But I can't yet believe that you're gone.
So I make believe that I'm fine.

I dropped you to the airport;
I thought that would help it sink in.
I watched you go and I turned around,
I knew now the pain would begin.

The best and worst moments of my life,
Were the last few, which I spent with you.
An incomplete hug, because I couldn't hold on,
You were going; there was nothing I could do.

I wish you always have that smile on your face,
Because it can lighten up anyone's day,
Though I don't get to see it, I've got the key-ring,
And in my heart, you reside to stay.

When you went, you took a part of me with you,
And I hope you will keep it from harm's way.
I hope you'll bring it back, safe and sound,
I'll pray for your happiness every day.

See, life is a pain in the backside,
But there's no need for any hate:
I got four months with my best friend...
The best four written in my fate.
