目前任教于多摩美術大学的山本秀夫，从1989年开始从事产品设计，加入Yamaha创作设计实验室，建立otsuteimo设计有限会社，设计的项目包括「戸畑駅南口再開発」，「無印良品」，「丸の内地区サイン計画」等。
2007年初，在银座地区举办了「断面A-A・山本秀夫的设计」展，展出了他大量精彩的产品设计作品。
