JOASH AT 21

, , ,

It's that time of the year when i get to celebrate my birthday.

21yrs ago on May 1st 1989 at about 8:00am, i came into this world and at that exact second that i made my first cry, the world was never the same again because a new inhabitant had come into it.

21yrs down the road, it's been a pretty rough journey but there have been some good moments but of course we always remember the bad things more than the good ones. But the fact that i was born and still alive is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me.

As i always do during this time of the year, here are my words of encouragement to all those who want to get "A PERSPECTIVE OF LIFE IN THE EYES OF A 21YR OLD"

1. Always look forward to the future and dream about it. This will help you overcome the stress of worrying about the environment around you.

2. Don't mind so much about what other people think about you. The stress from worrying will kill you. Just do what you think is right so long as it does not hurt other people.

3. Look forward to the future but don't worry so much about it. The future will always sort it's self out. There is a way around most things.

4. The things you worry about most might have the simplest solutions and the ones you worry about least might have the toughest solutions.

5. Life is short. Have fun, you can be gone anytime. but of course enjoy responsibly.

6. You can never achieve perfectness everywhere. Just do your best and see what your efforts yield. Don't blame yourself when things don't go as expected. At least you gave it your best.

7. Everything happens for a reason. What seems to be a bad choice now might turn out to be a good choice in future.

8. Do what you love. Don't care what people say. Some people don't wish the best for you.

9. Be care careful who you trust. There are lots of bad people out there. Even those closest to you might betray you.

The Future
Right now, it's hard to predict the direction my life will take after my undergraduate degree.

In my experience, life doesn't always turn out the way you want it to be. I just have to wait and see what happens.
