They already upgrade the
Mac software at Full Tilt. Its got a much better design than before. The colors look a lot better to me and everything is laid out a lot nicer. Glad to see they spent some money to get things looking good. Probably getting set up for the World Series of Poker.

Looks like a brand new site, Poker Ocean (
www.Pokerocean.com) finally opened up. I checked out the place and it's pretty cool. Its very similar to Titan Poker because it is a skin. A bonus code I used was
OCEANGOLD to get that bonus they offer. The bonus was $200 which was not bad. I really liked how they have the player points right next to your screen name when you've playing. During play I won some $ which makes my opinion a little off.

Poker Ocean obviously has a tropical theme. Im glad they didnt do the full 3D effects like they did with Titan poker. The software still looks 3D but its not like it used to be with that full screen features at Noble. Overall Im pretty happy with the site. It just opened a couple days ago but has plenty of players because they use the same player database as Titan.

I just played at a newer place called
Betsson Poker (
www.Betssonpoker.com) so I ended up adding it to the website. It's compatible with Macs and Linux so I added it to compatiblepoker.com and not any of my other sites. I didn't win much money but was real impressed at how the website looked and felt. It's also got a sportsbook within the poker room and casino which will be awesome coming up into the World Cup. It's a part of the Ongame network and in fact I think I like it better than the leader PokerRoom.
Im off to play in some Sit and Go tournaments. I need to relax.

I've been following
Pitbull Poker for awhile now. I was recently contacted by Jordan one of their managers as he wanted me to host a freeroll for their site. I figured it would be a good opportunity to get some people into Compatible Poker forums so damit peeps join.

I know youre looking so here's a good reason to sign up. He's giving us $50 in the freeroll. Im hoping there will be like 10-20 players who play so I have a good chance of kicking all your asses.

Here is the thread I started if you are interested and need something to do on June 4th. And yes they are Mac and Linux friendly, that's why I chose them.

There has got to be so many poker players on the internet that are illegally playing underaged. Since I work heavily first hand with a lot of poker rooms I get to see stats on players and such. There is a huge majority of poker players that are around the age of 20-25. In fact just about all poker players are at this age. You'd think poker would be a lot of old farts playing but it's not that way anymore.
What makes me sick is there's a lot more high school kids playing. I'd be willing to bet that at least 5% of play money and freerollers are high school kids. I know more than a couple that play online poker and their parents don't care. If I had a kid and they were playing online poker I'd put an end to it. Obviously I'm a big fan of online poker or I wouldnt have a website based around it but playing when you're that you.......it's worse than drugs in my opinion. Gambling addiction is serious stuff and can ruin people's lives and in some high school kids....before their life really starts. In my stats I actually see people lose $10,000 in a day. Actually just the other day I saw one of my casino players lose over that amount in less than a couple hours. It's sickening and I just hope he was extremely wealthy and does not have a gambling problem.
Of course there are some benefits to online poker. If it werent' for online poker I would have had to work full time in college and my grades would have sucked. Because of poker paying my rent and bills were possible but that's not to say they were great for my grades. I admit I was extremely addicted to poker and that's why I have to limit myself these days. Not because I lose but because it physically makes me ill. I just think they should watch out more carefully for underaged online poker players. Here is the article I wrote about eCOGRA a group that monitors this shizzle. It's very short and just goes into what the company is kind of about. Article on
Underaged Poker Playing.
