Party Poker Beefs Up Macintosh Software

, , , ...

I just got word of the Macintosh software for Party Poker that went live with the native Mac Party client. It's pretty sick. I really wasn't expecting it so soon. The manager kind of sprung it on me and all the sudden it was out. But, thank god it's finally released. And also, its nice to see a billion dollar company build a native version instead of just that Java style they put out earlier.

But, I still hate Party Poker as a player. Too many rude people play there so I stick to other places. Party Poker sure does attract some weird people. Maybe us Mac users can bring some decency and civilization to these thugs.

Party Poker Download Mac

, , , ...

Im not too sure what's going on with the Java no download for Macs at Party Poker. But it seems Party Poker might have something up their sleeve for a download version for Macs. The Java works on Macs but I have a gut feeling something better is a comin.

I contacted one of my managers over there and he said it would be 3 weeks until the Mac download version was back up and fully functional. Now I don't know if he meant to say Mac download or instead was talking about the no download Party Poker software. God that would be great.

Even though I'm not a huge fan of Party Poker it's just a good site because of all the players. The best thing about party poker imo is the multi-table games. Other than that I can't stand the people who play there. Too many rude jerks for me.

Im out to watch the WSOP for now.

Played at Full Tilt poker on Mac

Ok I just got finished playing at Full Tilt Poker on my Mac. As you well know from my previous posts I am very happy with the software.

Aces at Full Tilt Poker

To start the game off I was dealt pocket aces. Can't beat that the first hand. I was playing the $5/10 NL game and busted out first hand. The pot was raised and reraised a ton preflop to the point where I just went all in. There was one play who only had like $300 and he called before the all-in. Another played called my raised for $600. Turns out the sizeable stacked guy had pckt kings and tripped up on the flop. Great way to start off.

Busting Out at Full Tilt Poker

It was all downhill thereafter. Busting out two more times I decided to take a small intermission to gather my thoughts and beat the crap out of my bean bag I have in a room. Going back for more I donked off another $2K building it up to about $5,000. Lovely. Screw it, I went up to the $5,000 NL tables which I never do. Doubled up in about 5 minutes and left.

On Tilt at Full Tilt Poker

I was on major tilt which is why I left. My nerves are terrible these days and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Poker is just a recreational game for me these days not because I was a losing player but because I was wasting away my life playing cards all night.

So I'm back playing the $5/10 tables like usually and hopefully I won't go on tilt anymore then needed.

Rizen - Poker Player Biography

, , , ...

After hearing about Rizen (Eric Lynch) play the World Series of Poker's Pot Limit event we decided to see what else he's accomplished. This guy has won a #&($ ton of big events online. The biggest one was the poker stars Million guaranteed. Thats basically equivalent to winning the World Series of Poker on the internet prestige wise.

After getting in contact with him he said he would do an interview. You can view his full biography and interview at the Eric "Rizen" Lynch page. He's also done some video clips at pokerxfactor.com so if youre interested in furthering your game I'd suggest watching them.

Also, he should be on TV when the WSOP airs. Look for event 3 pot limit tournament and he'll be the guy with the chip lead going into the final table.

High Stakes Poker Online

, , , ...

If you read this blog alot you probably remember the article about that huge cash game played online. Well after writing the article I got so many visitors asking me where the best places were to play high stakes poker so I wrote up a quick review of high stakes poker rooms.

In the article I weeded out all the sites that have high stakes poker but don't have a lot of traffic. Traffic is the most important thing when you're looking for a high stakes poker room.

The article I wrote about the high stakes game played between bad_ip and fast_freddie ended up getting published all over the internet. Its amazing how many people are talking about it. Supposedly bad_ip bounced back from that $800,000 loss that night but Jesus that's a big hit.

I'm still a little skeptical of the game. If you dont' know what I'm talking about then here is the full article again.

To me it almost seemed staged but what the hell do I know. What would the guy pretend he was freddie deebs? It just doesnt make sense unless they were trying to get publicity for the poker room.

Either way hope you enjoy the articles because I'm off to bed.
