tv, august, poker park, schedule
Poker in the Park has been a huge success for the past two years, and once again, things are looking good for a great poker festival this year. Poker in the Park III is set to take place in August and will be brought to players by eleven of the United Kingdom's leading pub leagues, as well as the leading poker magazine, Bluff Europe.
Poker in the Park has run for two successful years, and is the largest annual poker festival in Europe. This year, Poker in the Park is expecting thousands of people to flock to the event. The poker festival will take place in Leicester Square, London, from the 13th to the 14th of August 2009.
The poker festival is more than just a poker tournament, it is more like a big poker party or festival, which attracts poker players, potential poker players and interested onlookers. Poker in the Park II hosted more than 10,000 people, which Bluff Europe are hoping will increase to around 25,000 people this year at Poker in the Park III.
The festival offers poker tournaments, which will feature an eleven turbo sit-and-go tournaments which will last an hour each. Each hour-long sit-and-go can accommodate up to 80 players. Each of the eleven sit-and-go's is sponsored by a different pub league. Some of the leagues sponsoring the event are Champions Poker League, The Nuts Poker League, Masters Poker League, Red Tooth Poker, Big Time Poker League, London Poker Meet Up (LondonPokerMeetUp.co.uk) and London Pub Poker (LondonPubPoker.co.uk), and more.
The poker events will be held in the Poker in the Park Texas Hold'em Tent, The Poker Dome. Spectators will be able to watch the games from inside the tent, or on a large screen television which will be set up in Leicester Square.
Poker enthusiasts can enjoy free poker games, live lectures, free poker lessons, not to mention the autographs they will be able to get from the pro poker players that will be in attendance throughout the festival.
Although planning an outdoor event of this magnitude can be risky in London, with the unpredictable weather, summer does have many fine days. The last two years have not been washed out, and players can always take refuge in the marquees if necessary. Poker lovers from all over Britain will join together for two days of good poker, fun, and hopefully sun!

party poker linux, Linux, unix, games
...
I had a couple requests about
Party Poker for Linux. Yes the Java will work on Linux. Like I said with mac users it is only play money. Supposedly Party Poker said the Java will be fully functional in about 3 weeks. You can still sign up but youre stuck with virtual money games.
No more need for Wine to play Party poker. Thank god because there were so many issues involved with it. Java makes life much easier sometimes.

mac, macintosh, seven card stud, Apple
...
I just finished up a 3 article addition to the poker articles page. In it there is a complete summary of
Seven Card Stud.
The articles took about 3 days to complete and they are pretty comprehensive. Seven Card stud is a unique game if you've never played it before. It's actually one of my more favorite games.
Anyway here are the three articles. The first one is the
Basics of Seven Card Stud. We went over just the general guidelines you should know. The second and thrid Stud article contain strategy for
betting premium pairs and how to
play draws in Seven Card Stud.
Also I haven't really posted about this all that much but at the forum we're having a freeroll. We try to keep them small and only for members so feel free to stop by. We're holding it on Thursday at 10pm est. I figured that time would best suit the majority of people.

The other night I witnessed the biggest cash game ever played on the internet. It was between Fast_Freddie and bad_ip. I even got the screen shots of the hands. Over a full tilt some people started talking about the game going on at Prima so I headed over to Bet365 because it's part of the Prima Network. When I logged in Fast_Freddie had about $150,000 and bad_ip had $400,000 something. Freakin Freddie turned it around and took all of bad_ip's money and then some.
Im not going to go into the whole story because I wrote and article about it. The story I wrote already got picked up by Bluffmagazine. Here are the links.

Apple, nike, tv, entertainment
...
I know I'm a couple days late on this but hell the product doesnt come out until 60 days. More like 55 now but whatever. This is a solid thing Nike and Apple are doing. The shoe you can buy has a small insert in the sole where you put this sensor in it and it detects a whole bunch of neat stuff. It seems really cool if you like to track things like calories and distance. Personally I think the rest of the stuff is junk but knowing how far you ran is awesome. I wonder if you can feel the chip or if the shoes fit differently. Im sure they have it all figured out but I wonder if the shoes have less of a lifetime because of the insert pocket. It really is about time they did this though. I'd love it if someone they made a product for swinners. Not too sure how they could track distance but how sweet would that be. Im too lazy to count when I swim

Here is the full article I wrote up on
Apple joining Nike on these new products.
