a creative view

wi-fi dongles, dont use them i tell you - hehe, more trouble than they are worth and as far as i can see mpossible to get to work. i bought one for my ibook (g4 800mhz model), i was after puting in an airport extreme card but was told they were not available any more for the model ibook i had - poppycock i say, now that i know anyway. the problem was the dongle i had bought was actually faulty, i had sent it back for testing and that was the findigs, when they rang up to tell me so i been doing some digging and the card was availble for purchase only that day they had none in stock.

so proceding to tell me it was not made anymore - pile of crap. theay are now thankfully sending me myairport extreme card at no extra cost, i should think so too mind you they are actually cheaper than what i paid for the dongle, sneaky buggers will be using the few extra pounds for the p&p.

so anyway - other mac stuff;

i found this the masq project, only in betas at the moment, its a communications method of the old aol chat room style - or so it says, i havnt the foggiest - where you can see all the users and chat to everyone or anyone you like instead of the likes of ichat where you only have your select friends - if you get my meaning. it uses your ichat account to chat to people over voice and video, i do hope they add a normal im chat style communication as well chat rooms we'll have to wait and see how it is going to develop.

also found this - pando, is also in beta and its function is for sending large files upto 1 gigabyte over email, so if youve got work samples or high res photographs you want to send to people this is the way to do it. take a peak it looks quite good.
