Amelie
In life there are feathers that float about, birds that sing and plastic blags that dance. Those that smile at these see life for what it is - a joyful collage of colors.
However one gets there makes no difference.
Most characters in life are not interesting enough to watch for any amount of time. Selfishly their interesting traits are given to singular individuals that dot our lives rarely forgotten.
If you knew Amelie most would not believe her story. Only on the big screen does such a life, to some, become palatable.
Amelie is wide eyed literally and figuratively. She holds on to the joy of life, returns it and is rewarded by her efforts.
Much talk is given to the cinematography of the film but it adds little when compared to the dialogue and story line.
Amelie is about relationships - the good - the bad and the ugly. Amelie is about the beautiful people in the background of the main attraction of 'beautiful people'.
Avoid the trailers at all costs. Like usual they give away too much.
If you, like me, were one of the last not to have seen Amelie, rent it, netflix it, download it.
