Opera tweeks
menu - settings - preferences - advanced (well be doing a lot from here)
On advanced menu go to
browsing
- at the top change loading to 'redraw instantly'.
- also uncheck 'smooth scrolling'
On advanced menu go to
- network
On this page bottom right change max connections and max total connections to 64.
On advanced menu go to
- history
address option
This types out the addresses youve visited. But it slows the browser down. I suggest setting it to zero. At most 1000. 1000 text files, though small, is a lot.
-right under history is "remember content" uncheck that.
-change memory cache to 20 mb
-disk cache to 50 mb
-check empty on exit
last two options
-check documents never-check images never
Ok were done with advanced page.
Now - menu - appearance - skin
on skin page I suggest going with 'native'. On a mac im not sure what it says there. on windows it says windows native. Its not as pretty but its faster.
Thats it in appearance page.
Ok now click on the plus top on the bar. It opens you to your speed dial.
On the bottom left of speed dial click on 'configure speed dial'.
-check the box that says 2x2. That will give you four speed dial options. (The more you add the slower it is)
Add your favorite links to the speed dial by right clicking and clicking edit. Theres a rectangle there for you to paste the link you want. Or it lists links for you also.
Once your done setting the ones you like
right click again on a speed dial and click "reload every - never".
Ok so there ya go. Let me know if it works better.[/COLOR]
