From University of Windsor, Windsor, Mandela Aikman did his Electrical Engineering from September 2001 to May 2004. In between July 2008 - Feb 2010, he was employed as a manager in Jamaica steel Industrial Equipment Limited (Self Employment) and marketed equipment for International suppliers and negotiated raw material supplies on behalf of local buyers.
In Ardenne High School, Mandela Aikman employed as a Teacher for extra curricular classes for subjects like like Advanced Level Mathematics, English Language, English Literature, Biology and Principles of Business.
Mandela Aikman is honored with various achievements and awards. In 2003 he was honored as President Black Students Union University of Windsor and in 2001 he was selected for Selected for Young Government Leadership Training.
From 1998 to 2000, he became President Methodist for Youth Group and between 1997 - 2000 he was Captain in Ardenne High School Chess Team. In 1998, Mandela Aikman was designated to Represent Jamaica on Cultural Exchange Mission in Florida, U.S.A and was ranked 3rd best Caribbean Junior chess Player in 1994. In 1993 he was placed 3rd in Caribbean Junior chess Invitational in Trinidad & Tobago.
For athletic achievements, Mandela Aikman in 1999 - 2000 become Member of Ardenne High semi-final Manning Cup team (soccer) and in 1998 - 2000 he was Member in Ardenne High Sunlight for Cricket Team.
During 1993 - 1996 he was Member in Ardenne High Swimming Team and in 1993 - 2000 he joined Ardenne High Chess Team. For his extra activities, Mandela Aikman was Financial Controller and Reporter in Teen Relic Magazine. He was involved in designing new and improved beverage blending system and focused on Improved Steam systems and supervised installation of well and RO system for plant water supply.
Mandela Aikman joined Summer Job Jamaica Customs Services, Kingston Harbor, Jamaica, for data entry of invoices for incoming cargo vessels from international waters.
