Speed dial extensions in Opera 11.50

A feature that will be available in the next release of the Opera Desktop browser (and whose beta is available now on the website) is Speed Dial extensions. Speed Dial, as you probably know, is a page that shows a configurable number of web site miniatures (or special icons), so that your favourite websites are just one click away. As happened with other features, Opera invented it, and the other browsers followed suit
Speed dial extensions are an interesting feature indeed. Instead of having a miniature web site or a static icon, you can have a small application which runs inside the speed dial cell. Why I am interested in extensions? Oh well, I'd find very convenient to have small status indicators in my speed dial for critical systems I am managing!
So I am starting to gather information about Speed Dial customisations and extensions, and here we go.
