To the edges of my mind
I am joking . I am talking, I am stroking
to the edges of my mind.
I am hoping, I am groping, I am thinking
am I gonna be so kind.
Is it love that I can make
or just the sex that I can take?
Will it be love that is real,
Or just something that I can feel.
Are you a woman to be held.
Or a body I can meld.
Do I want what is at hand.
Or a love that could be so grand.
Only time will really tell
Was it love that caused my yell?
Or just a sound on the breeze
That I could have stopped with a freeze
but my heart does surely know
that I must stay and never go
To the edges of my mind!
