I remember seeing this in the news and found it to be totally appalling. Hopefully, things like this are rare and only associated with this particular hospital.

The few times I've been in ER where I live, everything is very organized. You check in, sign papers, show insurance card, then wait, then someone takes your vitals, then wait, then your led to your bed for more tests, then wait.....etc. The whole process takes maybe 3 to 4 hours. Of course, it is longer on the weekends....anywhere from 4 to 8 hrs. They take you sooner if your emergency situation is major, however.

For this person to wait 24 hours is horrible and NOT unacceptable.
