Lunch time walk

I went for a walk in the woods behind where I work today and estimate that if all goes well with the purchase of our house it will take me approximately 1 minute and 50 seconds to walk to work from there.

It was also felt very rural with bluebell filled woodland and very peaceful. I'm feeling very lucky!

A lot can happen in a week

This time last week I hardly knew what different sorts of mortgage there were let alone how much money they'd actually give me. Fast forward a week, Ros and I are well on the way to buying a house and having our very own mortgage!!

One minute its quite sickening to think how much this is all actually going to cost. Next its very exciting, we will have the keys to our own front door for when we are happily married.

football

It was tense, but Spurs survived and Arsene Wenger looked a bit silly in the end, which was an added bonus!! Spurs are now definitely in Europe next season, which is great news and its in our hands whether we can make it to the Champions League. This is by far the most exciting season for many years for a Spurs fan. And we are playing some of the best football in the league with ENGLISH players!

I got myself a good wife because of my Nike trainers!!

Not me personally (I don't own a pair of Nike trainers!) But I heard this story from a friend of mine who has just got back from a trip to Senegal. A local was sharing how his Nike trainers are a symbol of wealth and prosperity and therefore it seems something of a babe-magnet. He was therefore able to chose himself a good wife because of his Nike trainers!!

Part of me wants to laugh, part cry! Is this what we mean by development?!

The 18th May is a significant day in the year because its my birthday. I also know three other people who share the same birthday as I. This is probably only of interest to them, but tonight I discovered there was a band called 18th Day Of May!! Who else has a band named after their birthday??!!

I've got the best job in the world!

This is something I have often said. And while there maybe one or two better jobs out there, realistically speaking I think I have the best job in the world (most of the time!) This was confirmed yesterday when two people threatened to kill me (in jest...I think) because they wanted my job.

But having sat through three fairly dull meetings in two days I was wondering if there was any truth about it being the *best* job in the world. But seeing as the last meeting was in exmouth, after which I went for a beautiful walk along the beach in gorgeous sunshine, I can confirm that I do in fact have the best job in the world!

I spoke to my brother earlier today and he was moaning about the fact it was almost a week since I last added anything to my blog and even then it was only to say the home of my blog had changed.

Welcome to the new home of my blog. As you can see I've brought all the posts from my old one with me, but unfortunately it has left all the comments behind, which makes it look like I've been talking to myself for months!

Oh well...

One reason for changing was the ability to add photo galleries here. You'll also notice the addition of a calender, news feed and a countdown to my wedding!

I'll no doubt add a few other things as i go.
