Who know about shopping addiction?
Better known as compulsive shopping or compulsive buying disorder. Mostly associated with women. I thought it is twentieth century disorder p: since advertising surrounding us by Television, magazine, etc.




Compulsive behaviors associated with shopping do not constitute an addiction in the medical sense; the clear indication that some people use shopping to ‘self-medicate’ certain emotional or psychological problems. Some of them tried to forget the stress with shopping. (i have a friend, she eat very much when got stress, how about you?)





Shopping addiction is bad idea, its just short live escape and will damage our finances. Someone have shopping addiction just feel satisfied when spending money process, and than they feel bad mood and negative feeling till the next shopping.

I thought we must make priority scale before spending money. Make priority scale, what do you need and you think its important ,try to make a list :

1. CD?
2. shoes?
3. hand bag?
4. hand phone?
5. Lap top? or...
6. vacation maybe?

And than save money although not much but consistence. Its very good if you start as soon as posible, making it a lifelong habit will benefit you in the years to come.If you got money from your dad every month , you can save it too.



I thought shopping the Sales is One of the easiest ways to save money. Sometime i make a plan to shopping trip on exhibition event, ussualy they give special discount. But if i didnt found click with me i dont buy anything, just window shopping, like here, i taken this photo when visit Mode house in Bandung (Roemah Mode).



Im not shopping addict, window shopping does not constitute an addiction, the shopping addict feels unable to stop or even control their spending, but window shopping just having fun.

I love to shop, but not addiction Maryam. I have, though, been known to go shopping when I am under great stress about something. Just the act of shopping seems to soothe me sometimes, doesn't matter what it is or how much it costs---can be a shirt that's on sale, or a CD/DVD, or some scented candles. Doesn't matter. I am an impulse shopper at times, but not compulsive shopper. Fun topic Maryam. :up:

I love clothes. Have two closets and two dressers full of clothes. Don't buy much since I retired, but did before then. Always loved to shop for clothing, shoes, handbags. I always match shoes and bag if dressing nice. If casual, grab whatever bag I like and take off. I have probably 30 handbags. Did have more but cleaned out closet recently and got rid of some.

I have good tips from FEMALE & BAZAAR magazine Linda, how to mix n match when have limited budget. At least we must have basic color for clothing,shoes and handbag. Black is good one,coz always match with all...

I hate shopping ... mostly because of the crowds. I like to know exactly what I want, exactly where it is, and go directly to it, buy it and get out of there.

I only hate shopping in malls and the main shopping streets, which is why I usually try to get there during week days, far less people out there then.
This old town has some nice old streets, where I really like to stroll.

fortunately i am not a shopping addicted, but i admit it is really a good way to help you to get out of stress, you can do shopping window instead :lol:

I love to window shop, too. I can go in a place and walk up and down every aisle just looking at stuff. Sometimes I buy, sometimes I don't. Flea markets are a treasure trove.

Ussualy its male typical , but i understand Carol. Some of people like to shopping instant with browsing net, catalog or just shopping when urgent. But m thinking much if very expensive :D

@Dany : I understand why man and women have diferent characteristic, i guess one of the reason is man feel tired after work one week, they need refreshing and calmness situation. My uncle, my dad and my bro dont like going to mall. And i though its coz man have left brain dominant than women, so man always think realistic like dW say

Yes, in this way ... I don't like to buy anything quickly, because I usually regret it when I find out that I've bought the wrong thing. So I like to find out as much as I can before I put my money down. I have little enough of it; I don't need to fling it about wastefully.
